Embodiments of a polyethylene composition are provided, which may include a first polyethylene fraction comprising at least one peak in a temperature range of from 35° C. to 70° C. in an elution profile via improved comonomer composition distribution (iCCD) analysis method, where a first polyethylene area fraction is an area in the elution profile from 35° C. to 70° C., and where the first polyethylene fraction area comprises from 25% to 65% of the total area of the elution profile; and a second polyethylene fraction comprising at least one peak in a temperature range of from 85° C. to 120° C. in the elution profile, where a second polyethylene area fraction is an area in the elution profile from 85° C. to 120° C., and where the second polyethylene fraction area comprises at least 20% of the total area of the elution profile.

The present disclosure provides an adhesive composition. The adhesive composition includes: A) a propylene based plastomer or elastomer (PBPE) comprising up to 15 wt % units derived from ethylene and having (i) a Koenig B-value less than 1.0; (ii) a total unsaturation per mole of propylene from 0.010% to 0.030%; (iii) a density from 0.860 g/cc to 0.890 g/cc; (iv) a melt viscosity at 177° C. from 1,000 mPa.Math.s to 15,000 mPa.Math.s; and (v) a weight average molecular weight from 20,000 to 50,000 g/mole.

The present disclosure provides an adhesive composition. The adhesive composition includes: A) a propylene based plastomer or elastomer (PBPE) comprising up to 15 wt % units derived from ethylene and having (i) a Koenig B-value less than 1.0; (ii) a total unsaturation per mole of propylene from 0.010% to 0.030%; (iii) a density from 0.860 g/cc to 0.890 g/cc; (iv) a melt viscosity at 177° C. from 1,000 mPa.Math.s to 15,000 mPa.Math.s; and (v) a weight average molecular weight from 20,000 to 50,000 g/mole.

Process for Production of Thermoplastic Vulcanizates using Supported Catalyst Systems and Compositions Made Therefrom

The present disclosure provides a catalyst system comprising the product of a catalyst compound capable of making crystalline material (such as isotactic PP) and a second catalyst compound capable of making non-diene-containing-amorphous material and diene-containing-elastomeric material. The catalyst system of the present disclosure may further comprise a support material (or product thereof) having one or more of: a surface area of from 400 m.sup.2/g to 800 m.sup.2/g; an average pore diameter of 90 Angstroms or greater; an average particle size of 60 μm or greater; 40% or greater of the incremental pore volume comprising pores having a pore diameter larger than 100 Angstroms or greater; and sub-particles having an average particle size in the range of 0.01 μm to 5 μm. In another embodiment, a propylene polymer composition includes: isotactic polypropylene; 5 wt % or greater of atactic polypropylene, based on the weight of the composition; and an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer. The present disclosure further provides methods for forming propylene polymer compositions.

Process for Production of Thermoplastic Vulcanizates using Supported Catalyst Systems and Compositions Made Therefrom

The present disclosure provides a catalyst system comprising the product of a catalyst compound capable of making crystalline material (such as isotactic PP) and a second catalyst compound capable of making non-diene-containing-amorphous material and diene-containing-elastomeric material. The catalyst system of the present disclosure may further comprise a support material (or product thereof) having one or more of: a surface area of from 400 m.sup.2/g to 800 m.sup.2/g; an average pore diameter of 90 Angstroms or greater; an average particle size of 60 μm or greater; 40% or greater of the incremental pore volume comprising pores having a pore diameter larger than 100 Angstroms or greater; and sub-particles having an average particle size in the range of 0.01 μm to 5 μm. In another embodiment, a propylene polymer composition includes: isotactic polypropylene; 5 wt % or greater of atactic polypropylene, based on the weight of the composition; and an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer. The present disclosure further provides methods for forming propylene polymer compositions.

SINGLE SITE CATALYSED MULTIMODAL POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITION

The present invention relates to a polyethylene composition comprising a base resin, wherein the base resin comprises (A) a first ethylene-1-butene copolymer fraction (A) having a 1-butene content of from 0.5 wt % to 7.5 wt %, based on the total weight amount of monomer units in the first ethylene-1-butene copolymer fraction (A), and a melt flow rate MFR2 in the range of from 1.0 to less than 50.0 g/10 min, determined according to ISO 1133 at a temperature of 190° C. and a load of 2.16 kg; and (B) a second ethylene-1-butene copolymer fraction having a higher 1-butene content as the first ethylene-1-butene copolymer fraction (B); wherein the base resin is polymerized in the presence of a single site catalyst system and has a density of from 913.0 to 920.0 kg/m.sup.3 and a 1-butene content of from 8.0 to 13.0 wt %, based on the total weight amount of monomer units in the base resin, a process for preparing said polyethylene composition, an article comprising said polyethylene composition and the use of said polyethylene composition for the production of an article.

SINGLE SITE CATALYSED MULTIMODAL POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITION

The present invention relates to a polyethylene composition comprising a base resin, wherein the base resin comprises (A) a first ethylene-1-butene copolymer fraction (A) having a 1-butene content of from 0.5 wt % to 7.5 wt %, based on the total weight amount of monomer units in the first ethylene-1-butene copolymer fraction (A), and a melt flow rate MFR2 in the range of from 1.0 to less than 50.0 g/10 min, determined according to ISO 1133 at a temperature of 190° C. and a load of 2.16 kg; and (B) a second ethylene-1-butene copolymer fraction having a higher 1-butene content as the first ethylene-1-butene copolymer fraction (B); wherein the base resin is polymerized in the presence of a single site catalyst system and has a density of from 913.0 to 920.0 kg/m.sup.3 and a 1-butene content of from 8.0 to 13.0 wt %, based on the total weight amount of monomer units in the base resin, a process for preparing said polyethylene composition, an article comprising said polyethylene composition and the use of said polyethylene composition for the production of an article.

Amorphous propylene-ethylene copolymers

Amorphous propylene-ethylene copolymers are described herein that can include high amounts of ethylene and exhibit desirable softening points and needle penetrations. The desirable combinations of softening points and needle penetrations in these propylene-ethylene copolymers allow them to have a broad operating window. Due their broad operating window, the propylene-ethylene copolymers can be utilized in a wide array of applications and products, including hot melt adhesives.

Amorphous propylene-ethylene copolymers

Amorphous propylene-ethylene copolymers are described herein that can include high amounts of ethylene and exhibit desirable softening points and needle penetrations. The desirable combinations of softening points and needle penetrations in these propylene-ethylene copolymers allow them to have a broad operating window. Due their broad operating window, the propylene-ethylene copolymers can be utilized in a wide array of applications and products, including hot melt adhesives.
