A heterophasic propylene polymerization material, including a propylene polymer component (I) and an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer component (II), the heterophasic propylene polymerization material satisfying features (i) to (v): (i) the heterophasic propylene polymerization material contains a xylene-soluble content by 20 wt % or more; (ii) xylene-soluble content in the heterophasic propylene polymerization material has a limiting viscosity [η].sub.CXS not less than 5 dL/g; (iii) a melt flow rate of the propylene polymer component (I) is 70 g/10 min or more; (iv) MFR of the heterophasic propylene polymerization material is not less than 5 g/10 min; and (v) the number of gels of 100 μm or more in diameter on a sheet for counting gels, including the heterophasic propylene polymerization material, is 1000 or less per 100 cm.sup.2 of the sheet.

A 4-methyl-1-pentene polymer particle (X) which satisfies the following requirements (X-a), (X-b) and (X-c): (X-a) being composed of a 4-methyl-1-pentene polymer which has a content of a constitutional unit derived from 4-methyl-1-pentene being 30.0 to 99.7% by mol, and a content of a constitutional unit derived from at least one olefin selected from ethylene and an α-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms (except for 4-methyl-1-pentene) being 0.3 to 70.0% by mol; (X-b) having, when measured in a cross fractionation chromatograph apparatus (CFC) using an infrared spectrophotometer as a detector part, at least one peak A of an amount of a component eluted present in the range of 100 to 140° C., and at least one peak B of an amount of a component eluted present at lower than 100° C.; and (X-c) having a meso diad fraction (m) measured by .sup.13C-NMR falling within the range of 95.0 to 100%.

ETHYLENE-RICH DIENE BLOCK POLYMER HAVING A RANDOM BLOCK AND A POLYETHYLENE BLOCK

A diblock polymer composed of a first block and a second block is provided. The first block is a statistical copolymer comprising units of a 1,3-diene and more than 50 mol % of ethylene units. The second block is a polyethylene with a melting point above 90° C. and a number-average molar mass greater than or equal to 2000 g/mol and less than or equal to 10 000 g/mol. Such a diblock polymer has improved rheology compared to a statistical copolymer of the same microstructure and of the same macrostructure as the first block of the diblock polymer.

ETHYLENE-RICH DIENE BLOCK POLYMER HAVING A RANDOM BLOCK AND A POLYETHYLENE BLOCK

A diblock polymer composed of a first block and a second block is provided. The first block is a statistical copolymer comprising units of a 1,3-diene and more than 50 mol % of ethylene units. The second block is a polyethylene with a melting point above 90° C. and a number-average molar mass greater than or equal to 2000 g/mol and less than or equal to 10 000 g/mol. Such a diblock polymer has improved rheology compared to a statistical copolymer of the same microstructure and of the same macrostructure as the first block of the diblock polymer.

The present disclosure provides a process. In an embodiment, the process includes contacting ethylene and butene under polymerization conditions at a temperature greater than 125C with a catalyst system. The catalyst system includes (i) a first polymerization catalyst having the structure of Formula (III), (ii) a second polymerization catalyst having the structure of Formula (I), and (iii) a chain shuttling agent. The process includes forming an ethylene/butene multi-block copolymer having LCB/1000C greater than or equal to 0.06. The present disclosure provides the resultant composition produced by the process. In an embodiment, the composition includes an ethylene/butene multi-block copolymer having LCB/1000C greater than or equal to 0.06.

A thermoplastic vulcanizate composition includes (A) greater than 15 wt % of a block composite that has (i) an ethylene/alpha-olefin/diene interpolymer in which the alpha-olefin is an alpha olefin monomer having from 3 to 10 carbon atoms and the diene is a diene monomer having from 2 to 25 carbon atoms, (ii) a propylene based polymer, and (iii) a block copolymer comprising a soft block and a hard block in which the soft block has the same composition as the ethylene/alpha-olefin/diene polymer and the hard block has the same composition as the propylene based polymer; and (B) a remainder of a curative system and optionally at least one of a vulcanizable elastomer, a thermoplastic polyolefin, and an oil.
