AQUEOUS POLYURETHANE RESIN COMPOSITION AND COATING MATERIAL USING THE COMPOSITION
Provided is an aqueous polyurethane resin composition which is excellent in finished appearance as well as excellent in impact resistance, such as chipping resistance, and adhesion.
The aqueous polyurethane resin composition includes a polyurethane resin obtained from at least (a) at least two types of organic diisocyanate compounds and/or polyisocyanate compounds which are different from each other, (b) a polyol compound; (c) an acidic group-containing compounds comprising at least two types of compounds which are a compound containing a carboxyl group as the acid group (a carboxyl group-containing compound) and a compound containing a sulfo group as the acid group (a sulfo group-containing compound); and (d) a chain extender of a polyamine compound, a diamine compound, a polyol compound and/or an alkanolamine compound with a molecular weight of not more than 400, in which the aqueous polyurethane resin composition has a viscosity of not less than 500 Pa.Math.s and not more than 50,000 Pa.Math.s when the polyurethane resin is contained in an amount of 65% by weight.
POLYURETHANE RESIN COMPOSITION, REPELLENT, WATER REPELLENT FOR FIBERS, AND STAIN-PROOF COATING AGENT
A polyurethane resin composition includes a reaction product of an aliphatic polyisocyanate derivative having an average number of isocyanate groups of 2 or more; a long-chain active hydrogen compound including a hydrocarbon group having 12 or more and 30 or less carbon atoms and an active hydrogen group in combination; a cationic active hydrogen compound including an active hydrogen group and a cationic group in combination; and an acid compound capable of a salt with the cationic group. The concentration of the hydrocarbon group is 30% or more and 85% or less.
AQUEOUS POLYURETHANE-POLYUREA DISPERSION AND AQUEOUS BASE PAINT CONTAINING SAID DISPERSION
The present invention relates to an aqueous polyurethane-polyurea dispersion (PD) having polyurethane-polyurea particles, present in the dispersion, having an average particle size of 40 to 2000 nm, and having a gel fraction of at least 50%, the polyurethane-polyurea particles comprising, in each case in reacted form, (Z.1.1) at least one polyurethane prepolymer containing isocyanate groups and comprising anionic groups and/or groups which can be converted into anionic groups, and (Z.1.2) at least one polyamine comprising two primary amino groups and one or two secondary amino groups, and the dispersion (PD) consisting to an extent of at least 90 wt % of the polyurethane-polyurea particles and water.
The present invention also relates to basecoat materials comprising the dispersion (PD), and to multicoat paint systems produced using the basecoat materials.
METHOD OF PACKAGING BATTERY DEVICES
A method of packaging a battery device with a metal shell, comprising: applying a waterborne two-component polyurethane composition to the metal shell of the battery device, and drying the applied polyurethane composition to form a packaging layer; wherein the polyurethane composition comprises, (A) an aqueous dispersion comprising a hydroxyl-functional polymer, wherein the hydroxyl-functional polymer comprises, by weight based on the weight of the hydroxyl-functional polymer, from 20% to 50% of structural units of a hydroxy-functional alkyl (meth)acrylate; from 0.1% to 10% of structural units of an acid monomer, a salt thereof, or mixtures thereof; and structural units of a monoethylenically unsaturated nonionic monomer; and (B) a polyisocyanate.
Fire-Retardant, Isocyanate-Free Coating Composition
The invention relates to a non-intumescent, waterborne fire-retardant coating composition comprising: (a) at least one binder resin having reactive functional groups comprising both hydroxyl and carboxylic groups, wherein the binder resin has an acid value lower than 40 mg KOH/g resin on solids and an OH value higher than 30 mg KOH/g resin on solids, (b) a crosslinker, capable of reacting with at least some of the functional groups of the binder resin (a), wherein the crosslinker contains a carbodiimide functionality, and (c) at least one fire retardant. The resulting coating has a good adhesion to a variety of substrates, prolonged pot-life, and complies with the requirements of fire resistance in aircraft industry.
IONIC-GROUP-CONTAINING MICROBALLOON AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a microballoon. The microballoon is made of polyurethane (urea). The microballoon is characterized in that an inner surface of the microballoon contains ionic groups. According to the present invention, through use for a CMP polishing pad, affinity with a slurry liquid for polishing is improved, and thus it is possible to provide a microballoon by which good polishing characteristics may be exhibited without lowering the resin strength of a polishing pad.
URETHANE RESIN AQUEOUS DISPERSION, SYNTHETIC LEATHER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SYNTHETIC LEATHER
A task to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a urethane water dispersion which is unlikely to soak the substrate well, and which has excellent peel strength and excellent prompt releasability. The present invention provides a urethane resin water dispersion containing a urethane resin (A), water (B), and a crosslinking agent (C), wherein the urethane resin (A) has a viscosity at 50° C. in the range of from 15,000 to 34,000 Pa.Math.s, a viscosity at 100° C. in the range of from 1,000 to 10,000 Pa.Math.s, and a viscosity at 150° C. in the range of from 100 to 1,300 Pa.Math.s. Further, the present invention provides a synthetic leather having a bonding layer formed from the urethane resin water dispersion. Further, the present invention provides a method for producing the synthetic leather.
TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE COATING COMPOSITION, COATING FORMED FROM THE TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE COATING COMPOSITION AND COATED ARTICLE
The present application relates to a two-component polyurethane coating composition, a coating formed from the two-component polyurethane coating composition and a coated article. The two-component polyurethane coating composition comprises: component A comprising an aqueous dispersion of at least one hydroxyl functional resin; and component B comprising at least one non-hydrophilic isocyanate curing agent and at least one diluent, wherein the at least one diluent comprises at least one alkyl glycol ester, at least one cyclic carbonate ester, or combinations thereof, and the at least one alkyl glycol ester does not have an ether bond. The coated article of the present application comprises the coating formed from the two-component polyurethane coating composition. The coating composition of the invention adopts a low-cost non-hydrophilic curing agent, and the formed coating has improved gloss or transparency.
AN AQUEOUS TWO-COMPONENT ADHESIVE
The invention relates to an aqueous two-component adhesive and use thereof, in particular to the use for laminating a rigid substrate and a plastic film, a laminated product comprising the adhesive, and a method for producing a laminated product. The aqueous two-component adhesive comprises component A and component B, the component A comprising more than 50% by weight and not more than 99% by weight of an aqueous polyurethane dispersion; the B component comprising 1% by weight to 16% by weight of water-dispersible modified polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate, the above weight percentage based on the amount of the adhesive being 100% by weight; wherein the aqueous polyurethane dispersion comprises polyurethane dispersed therein, the enthalpy of melting of the polyurethane being 26 to 100 J/g, preferably 30 to 100 J/g, particularly preferably 30 to 60 J/g, measured at 20° C. to 100° C. for the first heating curve by DSC according to DIN65467 (1999). The aqueous two-component adhesive has the advantages of safety and environmental protection, excellent performance and low laminating temperature.
TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE COMPOSITION
A two-component polyurethane composition comprising a polyisocyanate and an emulsion polymer having greater than 2.2% of hydroxy groups in the emulsion polymer and comprising structural units of a polymerizable surfactant, a first hydroxy-functional monomer, an acid monomer and/or a salt thereof, an additional monoethylenically unsaturated nonionic monomer, and optionally a second hydroxy-functional alkyl (meth)acrylate; the two-component polyurethane composition providing improved alcohol resistance without compromising both acid and alkali resistance.
