In embodiments, the catalyst composition comprises (i) a metal elected from a metal complex comprising a metal from Groups IB, IIB, IVB, VB, VIIB, VIIB, and VIIIB of the Periodic Table of the Elements; and (ii) a solvent selected from a dialkyl sulfoxide, an organic carbonate; acetic acid; a carboxylic acid, an N-alkyl amides, organic carboxylic acid diester or diamide or mixed ester-amide, or a combinations of two or more thereof.
Porous membranes
The present invention relates to a porous membrane, process for the manufacture thereof and uses thereof.
ADHESIVE SET, FILM, BONDED BODY, AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING ADHEREND
An adhesive set is disclosed. This adhesive set includes a main agent containing a compound having two or more isocyanate groups and a curing agent containing a compound having two or more hydroxyl groups. At least one of the compound having two or more isocyanate groups and the compound having two or more hydroxyl groups has a disulfide bond in the molecule. At least one of the main agent and the curing agent further contains a curing catalyst. At least one of the main agent and the curing agent further contains a photoradical generator.
Polyurethane coating composition
A two-component polyurethane coating composition is described. The composition includes a multifunctional isocyanate component and a multifunctional polyol component. The polyurethane described herein is an overindexed composition that may be used as a tiecoat in a conventional recoat or refinish process. The described composition provides improved adhesion between an aged coat and a newly applied coating.
MOISTURE BARRIER LAMINATED FILM
A moisture barrier laminated film (10) includes: a plastic film (A) having an inorganic barrier layer (A1); a moisture trapping layer (B) containing an alkali component; and a coating layer (C) provided between the inorganic barrier layer (A1) and the moisture trapping layer (B). In the coating layer (C), a moisture permeability at 40° C. and 90%RH is 6.0 × 10.sup.4 g/m.sup.2/day or less, and a storage modulus E′ (at 2π rad/s) in viscoelasticity measurement at 85° C. is 30 MPa or more.
Formaldehyde free microspheres and encapsulation
Processes for producing polymer microcapsules using vicinal functional oligomers are also described. The vicinal functional oligomers can be made by polymerizing an acrylate monomer, a styrene monomer, or both in the presence of a chain transfer agent. The vicinal functional oligomers can be reacted with epichlorohydrin to form vicinal epoxies. The vicinal epoxies can be reacted with polyamines to form epoxy polymer microspheres. The vicinal epoxies can be reacted with carbon dioxide in the presence of a catalyst to form vicinal cyclic carbonates. The vicinal cyclic carbonates can be reacted with polyamines to form isocyanate-free polymer microspheres. Polymer microspheres made by the processes are also described.
VOC sequestering acoustic foam
Acoustic dampeners, methods of making acoustic dampener, and uses thereof are described. The acoustic dampener includes a polymer foam article; and a metal-organic framework portion. The metal-organic framework portion comprises a metal-organic framework in a polymer matrix. The metal-organic framework portion is adhered to, or otherwise coupled to or included with, the polymer foam article. Such an acoustic dampener can be used in a computer equipment cabinet.
