A polyurethane composition includes first and second components, wherein the first component contains between 30% and 99% by weight of a polyol mixture including 100 parts by weight of at least one hydrophobic polyol, 10 to 75 parts by weight of at least one hydrophilic polyol, 0 to 25 parts by weight of at least one diol having two hydroxyl groups linked via a C2 to C9 carbon chain; and also at least one compound having at least one thiol group; and the second component includes at least one polyisocyanate, wherein one of the two components additionally includes at least one metal catalyst for the reaction of hydroxyl groups and isocyanate groups that is able to form thio complexes and the molar ratio of all the thiol groups in the at least one compound to all metal atoms in the at least one metal catalyst is between 1:1 and 250:1.

The present invention is directed to a curable photochromic composition including (a) a photochromic compound; (b) a segmented polymer having active hydrogen groups, at least one first segment, and at least one second segment, wherein (i) each first segment independently includes a fluorinated polymer segment, and (ii) each second segment independently includes a segment selected from a polycarbonate segment, a polyester segment, a polyether segment, a polyurethane segment, and a segment of copolymers thereof; and (c) a curing agent having reactive functional groups that are reactive with the active hydrogen groups of the segmented polymer, wherein the curing agent includes at least one of a polyisocyanate, a polyisothiocyanate, or an aminoplast. Also provided are photochromic films and articles, including multilayer articles, which include the curable photochromic composition.

An aqueous emulsion contains a copolymer having three components: a) to c). Component a) has at least one biuret or isocyanurate substructure. Component b) is selected from polysiloxanes and polyhydrocarbons, preferably polysiloxanes. Component c) contains a hydrocarbon which is different from component b) and has at least 6 carbon atoms and not more than 3 heteroatoms selected from N, O, and S. Component b) is joined to 2 different or identical components a) via at least two positions.

FLEXIBLE GASTIGHT MATERIAL FOR LANDFILL SITE, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE METHOD THEREOF

A flexible gastight material for a landfill site includes a component A and a component B, the component A including: at least one of polypropylene glycol with a molecular weight of 600-4000, polytetrahydrofuran diol with a molecular weight of 1000-3000, polycaprolactone diol with a molecular weight of 1000-3000, and polycarbonate diol with a molecular weight of 1000-3000; and at least one of 2,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, toluene diisocyanate, isophorone diisocyanate, and hexamethylene diisocyanate. The flexible gastight material for the landfill site provided in the present application has a micro-closed-cell foam structure. The closed-cell elastic structure of the flexible gastight material may block the volatilization of toxic and harmful odors, and may cut off the diffusion path of the odors by combining with gas treatment systems at the landfill site. The flexible gastight material has excellent water blocking and gas sealing performance.

The viscosity may be thermally stabilized by such an aqueous composition in a wide temperature range and for many shear gradient values.

PHOSPHONIUM-CONTAINING POLYURETHANE COMPOSITIONS

The present disclosure describes phosphonium-containing polyurethane compositions, coating compositions, and coated fabric media. In one example, a phosphonium-containing polyurethane composition can include an aqueous liquid vehicle and polyurethane particles. The polyurethane particles can include a polyurethane polymer devoid of end cap groups. The polyurethane polymer can include a polyurethane backbone having a polymerized diamine chain extender forming a portion of the backbone. The polyurethane polymer can also include side chain groups along the polyurethane backbone. The side chain groups can collectively include aliphatic phosphonium salts and polyalkylene oxide groups.

The present invention aims to provide a urethane resin and a heat dissipation component each having excellent thermal conductivity and excellent flexibility. The present invention relates to a curable composition containing: a polyol (A); a polyisocyanate (B); at least one dispersant (C) for inorganic fillers selected from the group consisting of a phosphate ester (C1), a C12-C24 fatty acid (C2), a sucrose fatty acid ester (C3), a sorbitan fatty acid ester (C4), and a glycerol fatty acid ester (C5); and an inorganic filler (D), the curable composition satisfying the following requirements (1) to (3) that (1) the polyol (A) contains a polyalkylene glycol (A1) having a chemical formula weight or number average molecular weight of 1000 or less in an amount of 50% by weight or more based on the weight of the polyol (A); (2) the inorganic filler (D) is contained in an amount of 70 to 97% by weight based on the weight of the curable composition; and (3) the total weight of the dispersant (C) for inorganic fillers is 1 to 5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the inorganic filler (D), the phosphate ester (C1) being represented by the following formula (1):

Microencapsulated polyaddition catalyst

A microencapsulated polyaddition catalyst comprises a capsule core, containing polyaddition catalyst, and an acrylic copolymer capsule shell, the acrylic copolymer comprising copolymerized units of an intermolecular anhydride of an ethylenically unsaturated C.sub.3-C.sub.12 carboxylic acid. The polyaddition catalyst is selected from acyclic tertiary amines, alicyclic tertiary amines, N-alkylimidazoles, phosphines and organic metal salts. It is suitable for catalysing the reaction of a polyol compound with a polyisocyanate compound. The polyaddition catalyst is released by a chemical stimulus, such as on contact with polyols or water, for example.
