Manganese-bearing polymer complexes
The invention concerns a composition for use as drier in auto-oxidizable coatings or as accelerator in unsaturated polyester resins, comprising a manganese-bearing polymer having a manganese dicarboxylate repeating unit and at least one nitrogen-containing donor ligand. Such compositions offer excellent drying performances. They ensure a strongly reduced leachability of manganese compared to that of known manganese-bearing driers.
POLYURETHANE RIGID FOAM
A foam-forming composition for producing a rigid polyurethane foam including: (a) at least one isocyanate component; and (b) at least one isocyanate-reactive composition including: (bi) a rigid polyol compound; and (bii) a flexible polyol compound; (c) a catalyst package including at least one latent gelling catalyst; and (d) at least one blowing agent.
Non-aqueous crosslinkable composition
The present invention relates to a crosslinkable composition comprising a polyol, a polyisocyanate crosslinker, a catalyst for catalysing the reaction between —OH groups of said polyol and —NCO groups of said crosslinker, a tertiary acid of formula RR′R″CCOOH (I), wherein each R, R′ and R″ group, independently, is an alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or aralkyl group containing at least one carbon atom, with the proviso that two or three of the R, R′ and R″ groups can be linked to form a ring structure and wherein the R, R′ and/or R″ groups can be substituted, and optionally, a complexing agent containing at least one —SH group, as well as its use for making coatings having improved application properties.
Use of compounds having n 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxamide units in two-component adhesives
A description is given of the use of compounds having n 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxamide units as a reactive component in 2-component adhesives, especially for preparing hydroxypolyurethanes or hydroxypolycarbonates for adhesives applications, where n is a number greater than or equal to 2. A description is also given of corresponding two-component adhesives and adhesive bonding methods. Employed preferably as a second component of the two-component adhesive is a polyfunctional curing agent compound which is preferably selected from polyamines which have two or more amine groups and polyols which have two or more alcoholic hydroxyl groups.
Methods for reducing aldehyde emissions in polyurethane foams
Polyurethane foams are made by curing a reaction mixture that contains an aromatic polyisocyanate, at least one isocyanate-reactive material having an average functionality of at least 2 and an equivalent weight of at least 200 per isocyanate-reactive group, at least one blowing agent, at least one surfactant and at least one catalyst, at least one cyclic 1,3-diketone compound, at least one aminoalcohol or alkylhydroxylamine and an alkali metal, phosphonium or ammonium sulfite. Foams so produced emit low levels of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein and propionaldehyde.
LOW-VISCOUS ISOCYANATE PREPOLYMERS BLOCKED WITH PHENOLS OBTAINABLE FROM CASHEW NUTSHELL OIL, METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to novel solvent-free, blocked isocyanate prepolymers curing at room temperature, and to a method for the production thereof. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of said blocked isocyanate prepolymers for producing solvent-free reactive systems and to their use for producing adhesives, sealing compounds, casting compounds, molded parts or coatings, which are curing at room temperature.
