A substrate at least partially coated with an anti-fingerprint coating is prepared from a coating composition that includes: (a) an organic solvent; and (b) an alkoxysilane functional polymer having at least one ester linkage, at least one urethane linkage, and at least one alkoxysilane functional group. Further, the polymer is prepared from components including: (i) an active hydrogen functional compound having a hydroxyl group, amino group, thiol group, or a combination thereof; (ii) an intramolecular cyclic ester; and (iii) an isocyanate functional compound. The isocyanate functional compound (iii) has one or more alkoxysilane functional groups. Alkoxysilane functional polymers and coating compositions containing the same are also included.

Photocurable, self-healable, and shape-memorizable polymers for additive manufacturing

A method of making an ink for use in additive manufacturing of a self-healable and shape-memorizable product includes mixing a diol with isophorone diisocyanate, dimethylacetamide, and dibutyltin dilaurate to form a first solution. The method further includes mixing the first solution with 2-Hydroxyethyl disulfide to form a second solution. The method further includes mixing the second solution with 2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate to form a third solution. The method further includes mixing the third solution with a tributylphosphine, a photoinitiator, and a photoabsorber to facilitate additive manufacturing of the ink.

To provide a polymer material having properties that allow the polymer material to replace a polyimide and a polyamide synthesized from a petroleum raw material, said polymer material being synthesized from a raw material derived from natural molecules. [Solution] This polymer material is obtained by polymerizing a polymer raw material comprising a dimer of 4-amino cinnamic acid or a dimer of a 4-amino cinnamic acid derivative, which are natural molecules, wherein the carboxyl group is protected by an alkyl chain. The TGA curve of a polyamide acid (PAA-1) and a polyimide (PI-1) according to the present invention is shown in FIG. 5.

COMB POLYURETHANE DISPERSANTS

Embodiments described herein provide a dispersant for ink and pigmented coatings. The dispersant is a polyurethane having oxamide diol groups. The dispersant may be used to prepare a wide variety of inks and coatings having high pigment loading and existing within a conventionally-useful viscosity range.

An environmentally-friendly flexible conductive polyurethane (PU) and a preparation method thereof are disclosed. The environmentally-friendly flexible conductive PU is prepared by subjecting a mixture of a component A and a component B in a specified mass ratio to in-situ solvent-free polymerization, where the component A is prepared from a polyol, a T-type chain extender, a diselenide diol, high-conductivity carbon black, a dispersing agent, a catalyst, and a leveling agent, and the component B is prepared from a polyisocyanate, a polyol, a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT), and a dispersing agent. The PU has a reliable electrically-conductive function, and shows a self-healing function under room temperature or light conditions when damaged, wherein a microphase separation value HBI (0.5 to 3.0) of soft and hard segment molecules can be adjusted to achieve different hand touches and different mechanical properties, and an organic pollutant emission (volatile organic compound (VOC)) is less than 50 mg/kg.

The present disclosure describes a low gloss polyurethane one component powder coating composition comprising 90 to 100 wt % of a resin system comprising a thermosetting resin, an isocyanate curing agent for reacting with the thermosetting resin, and a polycarbonate diol, wherein: the thermosetting resin comprises a first hydroxyl functional polyester resin (i) having a hydroxyl value of between 200 and 250 mgKOH/g and a second hydroxyl functional polyester resin (ii) having a hydroxyl value of between 20 and 40 mgKOH/g, the weight ratio of (i):(ii) ranges from 15:85 to 35:65, the isocyanate curing agent comprises at least one unblocked uretdione curing agent, the ratio of isocyanate groups of the curing agent to hydroxyl group of the thermosetting ranges between 0.8 to 1.2, and the total weight % of the polycarbonate diol in the coating composition ranges from 1 to 10 wt % based on the total weight of the coating composition.
