PHOSPHONIUM-CONTAINING POLYURETHANE COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure describes phosphonium-containing polyurethane compositions, coating compositions, and coated fabric media. In one example, a phosphonium-containing polyurethane composition can include an aqueous liquid vehicle and polyurethane particles. The polyurethane particles can include a polyurethane polymer devoid of end cap groups. The polyurethane polymer can include a polyurethane backbone having a polymerized diamine chain extender forming a portion of the backbone. The polyurethane polymer can also include side chain groups along the polyurethane backbone. The side chain groups can collectively include aliphatic phosphonium salts and polyalkylene oxide groups.
Aqueous polyurethane dispersion
Provided is an aqueous composition comprising dispersed particles that comprise a polyurethane, wherein said polyurethane is a reaction product of a group of reactants (GR1), wherein GR1 comprises one or more aromatic polyisocyanates and, a polyol component, wherein said polyol component comprises (a) 50% to 99% by weight, based on the weight of said polyol component, one or more polyester polyols, (b) 0.1% to 10% by weight, based on the weight of said polyol component, one or more diols having a hydrophilic side chain, and (c) 0.9% to 40% by weight, based on the weight of said polyol component, one or more polyols different from (a) and (b). Also provided is a method of bonding a metal foil to a polymer film using such an aqueous composition.
Panel, in Particular a Floor Panel, Ceiling Panel or Wall Panel, and Use of an Additional Layer in a Laminated Multi-Layer Structure of a Panel
Provided is a panel, in particular a floor panel, ceiling panel, or wall panel, having a laminated multi-layer structure which includes a core layer, a decorative layer above the core layer, a transparent top layer above the decorative layer, and an intermediate layer situated between the decorative layer and the top layer. The intermediate layer is transparent, and made from a protective material which includes a polyurethane composition which is the reaction product of a polyester polyol, a polyether polyol, and an isocyanate. The polyurethane composition is a thermoset polymer material. Also provided is a use of an additional layer in a laminated multi-layer structure of a panel in particular a floor panel, ceiling panel, or wall panel. The additional layer is transparent, and is made from a protective material which includes a polyurethane composition which is the reaction product of a polyester polyol, a polyether polyol, and an isocyanate. The polyurethane composition is a thermoset polymer material.
Polycarbonate diol coating composition for caustic and UV resistance
A curable glass coating composition including 5-70 wt % aliphatic polycarbonate diol, 5-60 wt % crosslinker, 1-20 wt % extender, 4-20 wt % fatty alcohol, and 2-30 wt % crystalline or amorphous powder filler material, and optionally 2-20 wt % aliphatic polyester polyol and 2-20 wt % cycloaliphatic epoxy. The coating composition can be applied to a glass substrate and cured to form a decorative cured polyurethane coating layer on the substrate that has improved caustic and UV resistance.
THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE RESIN SUITABLE FOR MELT SPINNING
A thermoplastic polyurethane resin suitable for melt spinning is formed from a reaction mixture via a polymerization reaction. The reaction mixture includes an isocyanate component and a polyol component. The polyol component includes a first polyol that has a first number average molecular weight and a second polyol that has a second number average molecular weight. The first number average molecular weight is between 1,000 g/mol and 1,500 g/mol, and the second number average molecular weight is between 2,500 g/mol and 3,000 g/mol. One resin component formed by the first polyol via the polymerization reaction is defined as a low melting point segment and correspondingly has a first melting point between 170° C. and 185° C. Another resin component formed by the second polyol via the polymerization reaction is defined as a high melting point segment and correspondingly has a second melting point between 195° C. and 210° C.
Urethane-crosslinked biodegradable elastomers
Among other things, the present disclosure provides compositions and methods for an elastomeric cross-linked polyester material. Such an elastomeric cross-linked polyester material, in some embodiments, comprises a plurality of polymeric units of the general formula (-A-B-).sub.p, wherein p is an integer greater than 1; and a plurality of urethane cross-links each of which covalently links two polymeric units to one another, which two linked polymeric unit each had at least one free hydroxyl or amino group prior to formation of the crosslink.
COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING URETDIONE GROUPS CROSSLINKING AT LOW TEMPERATURES
The invention relates to compositions containing A) at least one component having at least one uretdione group, B) at least one component having at least one hydroxyl group, C1) of at least one catalyst, containing a structural element of the general formula (I) and/or (II), wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 independently of each other represent the same or different radicals meaning saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic organic radicals with 1 to 18 carbon atoms that are substituted or unsubstituted and/or have heteroatoms in the chain, the radicals being capable of forming, even when combined with each other and optionally together with an additional heteroatom, rings with 3 to 8 carbon atoms that can optionally be further substituted, wherein R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 independently of each other can also represent hydrogen, and R.sup.7 represents hydrogen or a carboxylate anion (COO−), and C2) at least one catalyst containing at least one N,N,N′-trisubstituted amidine structure and having an amidine group content (calculated as CN2; molecular weight=40) of 12.0 to 47.0 wt.-%.

The present disclosure provides a jet-black multilayer coating film having excellent properties in high appearance, water resistance, and humidity resistance and comprising a base coating film and a clear coating film formed by a coating composition containing a plant-derived aliphatic polyester mainly and a method for forming the same. A jet-black multilayer coating film comprising a base coating film layer formed by a base coating composition which contains a polyester polyol (A-1) containing a polyol having three or more functions and lactic acid as a consisting component of 80 mol % or more and having a hydroxyl value of 140 to 240 mgKOH/g wherein 70 mol % or more of the hydroxyl groups are secondary hydroxyl groups, an acrylic resin (A-2) with a hydroxyl value of 30 to 80 mgKOH/g and a glass transition point of 40 to 80° C., and a polyisocyanate (A-3), and a clear coating film layer formed on said base coating film layer by a clear coating composition which contains a polyester polyol (B-1) obtained by polymerization of a raw composition of a polyol having three or more functions, sebacic acid, and a diol and having a hydroxyl value of 140 to 240 mgKOH/g, an acrylic resin (B-2) with a hydroxyl value of 120 to 220 mgKOH/g, and a polyisocyanate (B-3).
HYPERBRANCHED POLYMER MODIFIED WITH ISOCYANATE LINKER AND MIX OF SHORT AND LONG CHAIN ALKYL POLYETHER

It further relates to a process for producing the polymer, to a composition comprising the polymer and an active ingredient, and to a method for controlling phytopathogenic fungi or undesired vegetation or insect or acarid infestations or for regulating the growth of plants.
FIBER-PLASTICS COMPOSITES AND COMPOSITION FOR THE PRODUCTION OF THESE FIBER-PLASTICS COMPOSITES
The present invention relates to fiber-plastics composites consisting of (I) at least one fiber material and (II) a plastics matrix, where the composite is characterized in that the plastics matrix is based on a two-component matrix material (IIa), where the two-component matrix material (IIa) comprises (1) a parent component comprising (A) at least one polycarbonatediol and (2) a hardener component comprising (C) at least one polyisocyanate-modified polyester with from 4 to 15% isocyanate content. The present invention also relates to a process for the production of the fiber-plastics composites and to use of these.
