CATIONIC ELECTRODEPOSITION COATING MATERIAL COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a cationic electrodeposition coating composition containing a resin emulsion containing an aminated resin (A) and a blocked isocyanate curing agent (B), characterized in that a deposited electrodeposition coating film of the cationic electrodeposition coating composition has a coating film viscosity in a range of 5,000 to 1,000,000 mPa.Math.s at 110 C., and a portion resulting from removal of a resin component from the deposited electrodeposition coating film of the cationic electrodeposition coating composition has a polarity term in a range of 2 to 30 mN/m.

The present invention provides a thermosetting coating composition, comprising a modified epoxy resin (A) resulting from a reaction of an epoxy resin (a1) with a modifier (a2), and optionally with an amine compound (a4); and a blocked polyisocyanate compound (B), the modified epoxy resin (A) comprising, at least in a part of the terminals thereof, a specific organic group, and having a number average molecular weight of 800 to 80,000.

A sulphur-comprising polyaromatic polyamine compound can be used as a monomer or prepolymer, when n is different from zero, in the synthesis of polyurea. The compound corresponds to the formula (I):

Cationic electrodeposition coating composition and coated article
The present invention provides a cationic electrodeposition coating composition comprising: a specific amino group-containing modified epoxy resin (A); a blocked polyisocyanate curing agent (B); a water-soluble zirconium compound (C); and sulfamic acid, wherein the water-soluble zirconium compound (C) is present in an amount of 10 to 10,000 ppm, calculated as the mass of the elemental zirconium, relative to the mass of the cationic electrodeposition coating composition.

An object of the present invention is to provide a preparation method for improving the edge part rust prevention property in the preparation of a cationic electrodeposition coating composition containing a bismuth compound as a curing catalyst. The present invention provides a method for preparing a cationic electrodeposition coating composition, including a step of preparing a resin emulsion (i) containing an aminated resin (A) and a blocked isocyanate curing agent (B), a step of preparing a pigment dispersion paste (ii) containing a bismuth-metal oxide mixture liquid (C) containing a bismuth compound (c1), a metal oxide (c2), a monohydroxycarboxylic acid (c3) having 3 to 5 carbon atoms in total and a solvent; a pigment dispersion resin (D); a polyvalent acid (E); and a pigment (F), and a step of mixing the resin emulsion (i) and the pigment dispersion paste (ii).
