The present invention provides an aqueous coating composition which contains (A) a urethane resin that is obtained from constituents including (a1) a polyisocyanate component and (a2) a polyol component containing (a2-1) a polyether polyol and (a2-2) a polycarbonate polyol, (B) at least one hydroxyl group-containing resin that is selected from among (B1) hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resins and (B2) hydroxyl group-containing polyester resins, (C) an organic solvent that has a solubility parameter within the range of from 8.8 to 10.1, and (D) water, wherein based on 100 parts by mass of the resin solid content in the aqueous coating composition, the content of the urethan resin (A) is within the range of from 60 to 85 parts by mass and the content of the organic solvent (C) is within the range of from 5 to 30 parts by mass.

Water-based polyurethane resin and manufacturing method thereof

A water-based polyurethane resin and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The method for manufacturing the water-based polyurethane includes: a preparation step of a prepolymer, a dilution step of the prepolymer, a water dispersion and chain extension step, and an acrylic synthesis step. The method further includes mixing polyol and polyisocyanate to obtain a prepolymer, and diluting the prepolymer by adding acrylic monomer in the prepolymer. In the water-based polyurethane resin, at least one of the polyhydric alcohol, polyisocyanate, and the acrylic monomer includes a compound with a cyclic structure.

METHOD FOR PREPARING A REINFORCED STRUCTURE

This invention relates to the use of composite reinforcements advantageously comprising a thermosetting matrix and a filler in particular in the reinforcing of thermoplastic material or of thermosetting resin, in order to obtain a reinforced structure such as a bathtub, a washbasin, a wall panel or a shower tray.

This invention relates more particularly to a method for preparing a reinforced structure using composite reinforcements, as well as the structure able to be obtained by such a method.

POLYISOCYANATE COMPOSITION, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND APPLICATION THEREOF

A polyisocyanate composition, a preparation method therefor and an application thereof. The value of the mass content of alkaline hydrolyzed chlorine minus the mass content of water hydrolyzed chlorine in the polyisocyanate composition is 0.1 ppm-100 ppm. The mass content of the alkaline hydrolyzed chlorine is the mass content obtained by calculating halogen dissociated under alkaline conditions and/or halogen dissociated under a temperature condition of 100° C. or more as the relative atomic mass of a chlorine atom. In the polyisocyanate composition containing a specific amount of alkaline hydrolyzed chlorine, when a reaction locally becomes out of control causing causes a local severe exotherm, chlorine in alkaline hydrolyzed chlorine will be dissociated and be toxic to catalysts, thereby reducing the reactivity in local overreactive areas to thereby avoid the turbidity of a polyurethane synthetic emulsion, such that the light transmittance and yellowing resistance of polyurethane products are further improved.
