The invention relates to a method for producing flexible polyurethane foam, flexible polyurethane foam produced by the method, and its use in household articles and automobile articles.
POLYESTER-URETHANE COMPOSITIONS USEFUL FOR PRODUCING ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT RESISTANT COATINGS
The present invention relates to a polyester-urethane composition. In particular, the invention relates to aliphatic alkyl ring-containing compositions that are useful for producing ultraviolet light resistant coatings. The invention further relates to pigmented and clear coating compositions formulated with the polyester-urethane composition of the present invention. The polyester-urethane compositions may be crosslinked.
PREPARATION METHOD OF ULTRAVIOLET (UV)-RESISTANT AND TRANSPARENT LIGNIN-BASED POLYURETHANE (PU) ELASTOMER
The present disclosure discloses a preparation method of an ultraviolet (UV)-resistant and transparent lignin-based polyurethane (PU) elastomer. During the synthesis process, natural lignin-based polyols are directly used as an end-capping agent, isophorone diisocyanate and 2,2-dimethylolbutyric acid are used as a hard segment and polyether chain polyols are used as a soft segment, to synthesize a PU elastomer with a transparent brown appearance, excellent high elasticity and elastic recovery performance, as well as excellent mechanical properties, excellent UV resistance and repeatable processability. The lignin-based PU elastomer has a simple preparation process, and has great potential values for use in the fields such as PU elastomer film, fabric coating, and elastic fiber and biomass polymer materials.
Manganese-bearing polymer complexes
The invention concerns a composition for use as drier in auto-oxidizable coatings or as accelerator in unsaturated polyester resins, comprising a manganese-bearing polymer having a manganese dicarboxylate repeating unit and at least one nitrogen-containing donor ligand. Such compositions offer excellent drying performances. They ensure a strongly reduced leachability of manganese compared to that of known manganese-bearing driers.
Method for preparing thermoplastic polyurethane film and thermoplastic polyurethane film prepared thereby
A method for preparing a thermoplastic polyurethane film having a large thickness and excellent durability, and a thermoplastic polyurethane film prepared thereby are provided.
Polyrotaxane, production method therefor, and optical composition containing said polyrotaxane
The present invention provides an optical composition from which an optical article having reduced poor appearance such as cloudiness and optical strain during lens base material production can be obtained, and when a photochromic compound is added, a photochromic cured body having excellent photochromism and mechanical strength can also be formed, and a polyrotaxane used therefor. The polyrotaxane has a composite molecular structure formed of an axle molecule and a plurality of cyclic molecules clathrating the axle molecule, satisfying at least one of (X) and (Y). (X): A side chain having a secondary or tertiary hydroxyl group is introduced into at least part of the cyclic molecule of the polyrotaxane. (Y): A side chain having a group represented by -A (A is an organic group, and contains at least one hydroxyl group) is introduced into at least part of the cyclic molecule of the polyrotaxane, and a pKa of the hydroxyl group of the compound represented by H-A is 6 or more and less than 14.
Polymeric dispersants containing one or two quaternary amine anchoring groups with improved chemical and thermal stability
The present invention relates to a dispersant having a tertiary or quaternary amine anchoring group and a solubilizing polymer selected from C.sub.8-50 fatty acid; a C.sub.8-50 ak(en)yl substituted succinic acid, anhydride or partial ester; a dimer or trimer fatty acid; and/or polymers from repeating units of polyesters, polyethers, polyacrylate, polyamides, polyurethanes or mixtures of said repeating units in a random or blocky copolymer. The dispersants are an improvement in that the alkylene connecting group between the tertiary or quaternized amine and the solubilizing polymer lacks abstractable hydrogen atoms at the geminal carbon atom from the nitrogen of the tertiary or quaternized amine over the prior art. The dispersants are useful as dispersants with improved thermal stability and low amounts yellow color after aging at elevated temperatures.

ALDIMINES AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to compounds having one of the following formulae (I) and (II):
##STR(I)##
##STR(II)##
and also to the uses thereof.
Fiber coating compositions with high cure speed
The present disclosure provides coating compositions and cured products formed from the coating compositions. The cured products can be formed at high cure speeds from the coating compositions and feature low Young's modulus, high tear strength, and/or high tensile toughness. The cured products can be used as primary coatings for optical fibers. The primary coatings provide good microbending performance and are resistant to defect formation during fiber coating processing and handling operations. The coating compositions include an oligomer, an alkoxylated monofunctional acrylate monomer, and preferably, an N-vinyl amide compound.
