Producing method of polyurethane resin, polyurethane resin, and molded article

A method for producing a polyurethane resin includes a reaction step of obtaining a primary product by reacting a polyisocyanate component containing a bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane with a polyol component containing a low molecular weight polyol having a number average molecular weight of 400 or less and a high molecular weight polyol having an average molecular weight of 2500 or more and 4000 or less under the presence of a bismuth catalyst, and a heat treatment step of heat treating the primary product to obtain a polyurethane resin. The bismuth catalyst content in the polyurethane resin is 0.1 ppm or more and 1000 ppm or less, and the heat treatment conditions in the heat treatment step are 50 C. or more and 100 C. or less and three days or more and ten days or less.

Reactive polyurethane dispersions

The present disclosure is drawn to reactive polyurethane dispersions. In one example, a reactive polyurethane dispersion can include a polymer strand having a polymer backbone that has two ends terminating at a first capping unit and a second capping unit. The polymer backbone can include polymerized monomers including a reactive diol and a diisocyanate. The reactive diol can be an acrylate-containing diol, a methacrylate-containing diol, an acrylamide-containing diol, a methacrylamide-containing diol, or combination thereof. The first capping unit can be an acrylamide-containing monoalcohol or methacrylamide-containing monoalcohol reacted with an isocyanate group of the diisocyanate. The second capping unit can be an ionic stabilizing group.

Polythiol composition for plastic optical lens

The embodiments relate to a polythiol composition for a plastic optical lens and a polythiourethane-based plastic optical lens prepared therefrom. In the embodiments, a first polythiol compound having an ester group and a mercapto group only as a hydrogen-bondable functional group and a second polythiol compound having an ester group and a hydrogen-bondable functional group other than a mercapto group are used in an appropriate amount. Thus, it is possible to control the viscosity of a polymerizable composition at the initial stage of polymerization at a low temperature of 5 to 15 C. and to stabilize the rate of increase in the viscosity of the composition and the reaction rate thereof, thereby preventing the generation of striae, bubbles, and the like. Further, various plastic lenses such as eyeglass lenses, camera lenses, and the like having excellent appearance characteristics (without striae and bubbles) and excellent optical characteristics can be obtained from the composition.
