Polyrotaxane, production method therefor, and optical composition containing said polyrotaxane
The present invention provides an optical composition from which an optical article having reduced poor appearance such as cloudiness and optical strain during lens base material production can be obtained, and when a photochromic compound is added, a photochromic cured body having excellent photochromism and mechanical strength can also be formed, and a polyrotaxane used therefor. The polyrotaxane has a composite molecular structure formed of an axle molecule and a plurality of cyclic molecules clathrating the axle molecule, satisfying at least one of (X) and (Y). (X): A side chain having a secondary or tertiary hydroxyl group is introduced into at least part of the cyclic molecule of the polyrotaxane. (Y): A side chain having a group represented by -A (A is an organic group, and contains at least one hydroxyl group) is introduced into at least part of the cyclic molecule of the polyrotaxane, and a pKa of the hydroxyl group of the compound represented by H-A is 6 or more and less than 14.
FIBERS, FIBER MULTILAYER STRUCTURE, SPINNING SOLUTION FOR ELECTROSPINNING, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FIBERS
The present invention provides nanometer-sized fibers that are produced by an electrospinning method with use of a spinning solution for electrospinning, said spinning solution being environmentally friendly and taking the effects of an organic solvent on the human body into consideration. The fibers are formed from a resin that contains a silicone-modified polyurethane resin which is a reaction product of (A) a polyol, (B) a water dispersant, (C) an active hydrogen group-containing organopolysiloxane represented by formula (1)

(wherein R.sup.1 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group which may have an oxygen atom in the chain, while having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms and a hydroxyl group or a mercapto group, or a monovalent hydrocarbon group which has a primary amino group or a secondary amino group, while having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms; each of R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represents a group that is selected from among an alkyl group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an aralkyl group having from 7 to 10 carbon atoms, an aryl group having from 6 to 12 carbon atoms and a vinyl group; and n represents an integer from 1 to 200), and (D) a polyisocyanate.
FOAM LAYER WITH THERMAL BARRIER PROPERTIES
The present disclosure relates to a foam layer that may include a silicone based matrix component, a flame retardant filler component, and an insulation filler component. The foam layer may have a thickness of at least about 0.5 mm and no greater than about 10 mm. The foam layer may further have a compression force deflection at 25% of at least about 5 kPa and not greater than about 500 kPa. The foam layer may also have a HBF flammability rating as measured according to ASTM D4986.

Coating compositions and coatings with improved soiling resistance and (self-)cleaning properties are disclosed. The coating compositions and coatings may be nonaqueous coating compositions and may include at least one hydroxyl group-containing compound, at least one isocyanate group-containing compound having free or blocked isocyanate and silane groups, at least one catalyst for the crosslinking of the silane groups, and at least one alkoxysilyl-functional siloxane.
Polymers, coating compositions containing such polymers, and anti-fingerprint coatings formed therefrom
A substrate at least partially coated with an anti-fingerprint coating is prepared from a coating composition that includes: (a) an organic solvent; and (b) an alkoxysilane functional polymer having at least one ester linkage, at least one urethane linkage, and at least one alkoxysilane functional group. Further, the polymer is prepared from components including: (i) an active hydrogen functional compound having a hydroxyl group, amino group, thiol group, or a combination thereof; (ii) an intramolecular cyclic ester; and (iii) an isocyanate functional compound. The active hydrogen functional compound (i), the isocyanate functional compound (iii), or both (i) and (iii) have one or more alkoxysilane functional groups. Alkoxysilane functional polymers and coating compositions containing the same are also included.
Aqueous Polymer Particle Dispersion
An aqueous polymeric particle dispersion, the particle comprises a polymer and a Si—O-containing moiety, the Si—O-containing moiety is linked to the polymer. The polymeric particle dispersion can be incorporated in aqueous printing liquids such as aqueous inkjet inks.

One-component heat-activatable polyurethane water-based adhesive composition, which comprises, with respect to the total weight of the adhesive composition: —from 12% to 50%, by weight of dry matter, of an aqueous dispersion of a polyurethane (A) comprising alkoxysilyl pending and/or terminal groups, and —from 0.5% to 5% by weight of a glycidoxy substituted alkoxysilane compound (B) with a glycidoxy functionality of at least 2.

An alkoxysilane-functionalized and allophanate-functionalized coating material including a) a binder component of 10-99 wt % of at least one reaction product of I. and II. wherein I includes A) at least one alkoxysilane-containing monourethane A) of the formula 1 R.sub.n(OR.sub.1).sub.3-nSi—R.sup.2—NH—(C═O)—OR.sup.3 wherein R, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represent hydrocarbon radicals having 1-8 carbon atoms, and n represents 0-2, and B) at least one diisocyanate B), and II includes the subsequent reaction of C) with at least one diol and/or polyol C), in a ratio of NCO groups of reaction product I to OH groups of the diol and/or polyol II. C) of 1.0:1.5 to 1.0:0.6; b) 1-90 wt % of at least one further binder component distinct from a) a hydroxyl-containing or amino-containing binder component, c) 0-50 wt % of at least one polyisocyanate having an NCO functionality of at least 2, d) 0-5 wt % of at least one catalyst, wherein components a)-d) add up to 100 wt %.
Bonding adhesive and adhered roofing systems prepared using the same
A method is provided for forming an adhered membrane roof system that meets Factory Mutual (FM) 4470/4474 standards for wind uplift. The method comprises applying a bond adhesive to a substrate on a roof to form an adhesive layer and applying a membrane directly to the adhesive layer. The bond adhesive includes a moisture-curable polymer.
HEAT-CROSSLINKABLE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION FORMING A HEAT-STABLE ADHESIVE SEAL
A heat-crosslinkable adhesive composition comprises a polymer (A) comprising at least one hydrolysable alkoxysilane group, a silylated copolymer tackifying resin (B′), a non-silylated tackifying resin (C), and a crosslinking catalyst (D). The silylated copolymer tackifying resin comprises a repeating unit (B′1) derived from a silylated olefin monomer, in particular from a silylated (meth)acrylate monomer, and one or more repeating units (B′2) derived from olefin or diolefin monomers included in a petroleum fraction obtained by cracking naphtha and chosen from a C5 fraction, a C9 fraction, dicyclopentadiene. A self-adhesive article comprises a support layer coated with a self-adhesive layer consisting of the heat-crosslinkable adhesive composition in the crosslinked state.
