More particularly, this invention relates to compositions suitable for use as industrial coatings such as anti-corrosion coatings, protective coatings and adhesive coatings. This invention relates to compositions and methods for coating substrates. More particularly, the invention relates to coating compositions and methods for coating substrates, where the coating compositions comprise polymerized olefins and cyclic olefins, via different chemical transformations. The invention also relates to methods of applying the coatings to the substrates.
BIOFUNCTIONAL THIOPHENE MONOMERS AND POLYMERS THEREOF FOR ELECTRONIC BIOMEDICAL DEVICES
Disclosed herein are functionalized 3,4-alkylenedioxythiophene (ADOT+) monomers represented by a chemical formula (CR.sup.1R.sup.2)(CR.sup.3R.sup.4)(CR.sup.4R.sup.6).sub.xO.sub.2H.sub.2S, wherein x=0 or 1; wherein each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, and R.sup.6 is independently selected from hydrogen, a hydrocarbyl moiety, and a heteroatom-containing functional group; and wherein at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, and R.sup.6 comprises the heteroatom-containing functional group selected from an aldehyde, a maleimide, and their derivatives thereof. Also, disclosed herein are aldehyde derivatives represented by (ADOT-CH.sub.2—NH).sub.pY and a maleimide derivative represented by (ADOT-(CH.sub.2).sub.q—N).sub.pZ where p=1-2 and each of Y and Z is a hydrocarbyl moiety or a biofunctional hydrocarbyl moiety. In an embodiment of the ADOT+ monomers, one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, and R.sup.6 is replaced by a direct bond to an amide group, an azide group, or an ester group of a biofunctional hydrocarbyl moiety. Also, disclosed herein are polymers and copolymers made therefrom.
Usage of conductive and flexible polymers in lithium batteries
The present invention relates to a production method of a block copolymer (PFPEG) formed by PEG fluorenes and thiophene blocks. The block copolymer (PFPEG) increases the conductivity of the electrolyte active material. The binding of both the active material to itself and to the base material increase the flexibility of the copolymer when used in the electrodes of lithium batteries. The present invention also relates to a usage of the block copolymer (PFPEG) in lithium batteries.
N-TYPE CONJUGATED POLYMER, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to the technical field of n-type semiconductor materials. Disclosed are an n-type conjugated polymer, a preparation method therefor, and a use thereof. In the method, using a solvent as a reaction medium, a reaction monomer is reacted under the action of a substance having oxidability to obtain an n-type conjugated polymer. The n-type conjugated polymer comprises one or more polymerization units, and the polymerization unit are of a structure of formula (I) and/or a structure of formula (II), and/or in an enol-type transformation form corresponding thereto. According to the present invention, an aromatic diketone substance having active methylene is a raw material, and is subjected to a direct polymerization reaction by means of the substance having the oxidability. The reaction does not require a noble metal for catalysis, and the n-type conjugated polymer is not sensitive to the reaction atmosphere, has a simple process and low costs, and is suitable for commercial applications. The n-type conjugated polymer of the present invention has excellent electron transport capability, higher conductivity, and better electromagnetic wave shielding effect. The n-type conjugated polymer of the present invention is applied to an organic optoelectronic device, and can achieve an excellent photoelectric effect.
