Immobilizing flexible stowage containers
A unique flexible container combination comprises a viscoelastomeric thermoset overlay disposed upon a flexible supportive base. Desirably, the viscoelastomeric thermoset overlay possesses exceptional adhesive, cohesive and releasability properties. In some embodiments, the flexible container combination can also exhibit antipathogenic, cleansability and/or reusability properties. The flexible container combination can maintain an adhered stowable item in an immobilized position until intentionally removed therefrom by a user. In some embodiments, the flexible container combination can be folded or rolled into a rolled-up configuration.
Coating composition and wood article manufactured therefrom
The present application relates to a coating composition and wood article manufactured therefrom, the coating composition comprising: (A) a film-forming resin composition comprising a reactive donor capable of providing two or more nucleophilic carbanions, and a reactive acceptor comprising two or more carbon-carbon double bonds; (B) a catalyst for catalyzing the Michael addition crosslinking reaction between the reactive donor and the reactive acceptor, wherein the reactive donor has an aromatic epoxy backbone, and wherein the reactive donor has an epoxy equivalent weight in the range of from 400 to 1100 g/mol, preferably in the range of from 470 to 1000 g/mol, more preferably in the range of from 470 to 900 g/mol.
STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS
An adhesive composition comprising an epoxy compound and a compound comprising at least one aminimide functional group is disclosed. The compound comprising the at least one aminimide functional group is present in an amount from 2-8% by weight based on total weight of the adhesive composition and reacts with the epoxy compound upon activation by an external energy source. The adhesive composition also may comprise an amidine salt.
BPA-free coatings
Provided are poly(AAG)-compositions, and corresponding coatings, foams, and coated articles. Also provided are methods for preparing the poly(AAG)-compositions and corresponding reagents including, e.g., polyol-AAG compositions. Coatings using the poly(AAG)-compositions may be useful for, e.g., replacing bisphenol-A cross-linked coatings used in food and beverage containers, coating metal articles, and the like.
Bio-based epoxy resins, compositions, and methods thereof
A bio-based epoxy resin obtained from a reaction mixture comprising a glycidyl ether component and a bio-based component comprising a fatty acid and a rosin acid, wherein the glycidyl ether component comprises at least two epoxide groups.
Fiber-reinforced resin, process for producing same, and molded article
(A) A reinforcing fiber, (B) a resin particle, and (C) a matrix resin are combined to prepare a resin composition which improves a reinforcing effect by the reinforcing fiber. The reinforcing fiber (A) contains a carbon fiber. The resin particle (B) contains a semicrystalline thermoplastic resin, the semicrystalline thermoplastic resin in the resin particle (B) has an exothermic peak in a temperature range between a glass transition temperature of the semicrystalline thermoplastic resin and a melting point of the semicrystalline thermoplastic resin, the peak being determined by heating the resin particle (B) at a rate of 10° C./min. by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and the resin particle (B) has an average particle size of 3 to 40 μm. The semicrystalline thermoplastic resin may be a polyamide resin having a melting point of not lower than 150° C. (particularly, a polyamide resin having an alicyclic structure and a glass transition temperature of not lower than 100° C., or a polyamide resin having a γ-type crystal structure or a degree of crystallinity of not more than 50%). The matrix resin (C) may be a thermosetting resin.
Epoxy acrylic hybrid resins
An aqueous dispersion comprising at least one fatty acid-modified epoxy amine adduct wherein the fatty acid has an iodine number of lower than 30 and at least one polymer obtained from the polymerization of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers and their use for forming coatings or binder agents, especially for decorative and protective coating applications on various substrates.
COATING COMPOSITION AND WOOD ARTICLE MANUFACTURED THEREFROM
The present application relates to a coating composition and wood article manufactured therefrom, the coating composition comprising: (A) a film-forming resin composition comprising a reactive donor capable of providing two or more nucleophilic carbanions, and a reactive acceptor comprising two carbon-carbon double bonds; (B) a catalyst for catalyzing the Michael addition crosslinking reaction between the reactive donor and the reactive acceptor, wherein at least one of the reactive acceptor and the reactive donor comprises an aromatic ring structure, and wherein the polymer formed by homopolymerization of the reactive acceptor has a Tg of 100° C. or higher.
Ink composition, preparation method of the same, and fabrication method of window member using the same
An ink composition including an epoxy resin, and an amine curing agent. The epoxy resin is formed by reacting a bifunctional epoxy monomer, an adipic acid, and a polyisocyanate. The ink composition is formed by mixing the epoxy resin and the amine curing agent. The preparing of the epoxy resin includes mixing an epoxy functional monomer and an adipic acid to form an epoxy intermediate, and mixing the epoxy intermediate with a polyisocyanate to form the epoxy resin.
Adhesive viscoelastomer and its use in stabilized storage containers
The invention provides a unique thermoset viscoelastomeric reaction product and a container combination comprised of the supportive base equipped with a thermoset viscoelastomer reaction product possessing unexpectedly superior adhesive and cohesive efficacy rendering it especially useful as an adhesive insert in a container combination. The thermoset insert bonds to any suitable supportive structure. The unique viscoelastomeric reaction product inserts adhesively immobilize items placed thereupon and adhesively or permanently bonds to most conventional containers. The tenacious cohesive and adhesive features of the insert allows for inverted stowage of stowed items. Due to the confining adhesive and cohesive attributes of the insert, structural supports of a flexible or solid base without a conventional confining structure provide a unique container combination for the stowed items. Containers equipped with the unique insert also surprisingly provide an aseptic environment especially useful for hygienic applications.
