Polyester resin, method for preparing same, and resin molded product formed therefrom

The present invention relates to a polyester resin. The polyester resin contains a particular content of diol moieties, derived from isosorbide and diethylene glycol, and thus can provide a resin molded product exhibiting high transparency in spite of a large wall thickness thereof.

POLYESTER CARBONATES FROM ALIPHATIC DIACIDS AND ALIPHATIC DIOLS, AND PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF

The present invention relates to a process for preparing a polyester carbonate on the basis of aliphatic diacids and aliphatic diols and to the polyester carbonate prepared according to the process and to a moulding mass and moulding body containing the polyester carbonate. The process according to the invention is a direct synthesis in which all structural elements forming the subsequent polyester carbonate are already present as monomers in the first process step and in which two catalysts are used.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF POLYESTERS WITH RECYCLE CONTENT

A method for manufacture of polyesters with recycle content is described in various aspects. The methods of the present disclosure effectively and cost-efficiently incorporates recycled DMT into existing TPA-based polyester manufacturing systems. Recycle feed compositions for manufacture of polyesters with recycle content and recycled content polyesters are also described.

Biomass-resource-derived polyester and production process thereof

The present invention provides a resin capable of contributing greatly to solve environmental problems and problems related to exhaustion of fossil fuel resources and having physical properties suited for practical use. The polyester according to the present invention has a diol and a dicarboxylic acid as constituent components and has an amount of terminal acid of 50 equivalents/metric ton or less.

A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN OLIGOMERIC POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE (PET) SUBSTRATE

##STR00001##

A method for producing an oligomeric polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate for use in a recycled PET (rPET) manufacturing process comprises adding recycled bis-hydroxylethyleneterephthalate (rBHET) or a higher molecular weight oligomer derived from rBHET and water to a reaction zone and reacting the rBHET and water in the reaction zone to produce an oligomeric PET substrate represented by the Formula (I): wherein R1 is a carboxyl end group or a hydroxyl end group, R2 is a carboxyl end group or a hydroxyl end group, and n is a degree of polymerisation (Dp).

Ketone-aldehyde modified resin and the preparation process thereof

The present invention discloses a ketone-aldehyde modified resin and the preparation process thereof. The ketone-aldehyde modified resin comprises a ketone-aldehyde modified unsaturated polyester, a ketone-aldehyde modified unsaturated alkyd or the combination thereof, and wherein the said resin has ketone-aldehyde moieties. The process of the said resin comprises the steps of: reacting unsaturated polyester-forming and/or unsaturated alkyd resin-forming monomer components with a ketone-aldehyde resin. The present invention also discloses a coating composition comprising the said resin as well as a coated article. The ketone-aldehyde modified resin and the coating composition achieve significantly improved fast drying effect, while other properties are not observably impaired or even improved.
