This invention relates to an in-situ formed polyether polyol blend having an overall functionality of 2 to 3 and an overall hydroxyl number of 40 to 220 mg KOH/g. A process for preparing these in-situ formed polyether polyol blends is also disclosed. These in-situ formed polyether polyol blends are suitable for a process of preparing viscoelastic flexible polyurethane foams.
Silicate modified polymer foam material for filling and sealing
A silicate modified polymer foam material for filling and sealing contains prepolymerized isocyanate and a silicate modified aqueous solution with a mass ratio in a range of 1:(1.2-1.4). In the prepolymerized isocyanate, a mass percentage of P is 4.4%, a mass percentage of N is 7.9%, and a mass percentage of —NCO is 11.9%. The silicate modified aqueous solution includes liquid sodium silicate, small molecule alcohol, water and a catalyst, wherein the liquid sodium silicate, the small molecule alcohol, the water and the catalyst account for 63-66%, 17-20%, 14-17% and 1.5-2.5% of the weight of the silicate modified aqueous solution respectively. A method of preparing the silicate modified polymer foam material for filling and sealing includes mixing the prepolymerized isocyanate with the silicate modified aqueous solution.
NOVEL POLYETHER POLYOL BLENDS, A PROCESS FOR THEIR PREPARATION, FOAMS PREPARED FROM THESE POLYETHER POLYOL BLENDS AND A PROCESS FOR THEIR PREPARATION
This invention relates to a novel polyether polyol blend having an overall hydroxyl number of 56 mg KOH/g to 140 mg KOH/g, an overall functionality of greater than 2, and an overall content of copolymerized oxyethylene of 20% to 40% by weight. These novel polyether polyol blends may also be in-situ formed novel polyether polyol blends. A process for preparing these novel polyether polyol blends is also disclosed. These novel polyether polyol blends are suitable for preparing viscoelastic flexible polyurethane foams, and in a process for preparing viscoelastic foams.
Composition with reduced aldehyde emission
This invention generally provides composition for making a polyurethane foam with reduced aldehyde emission and more specially to composition useful in means of transport such as interior part of cars, wherein composition is comprising: (a) a polyfunctional isocyanate; (b) an isocyanate reactive composition; and (c) a compound of the formula (I) or (II), wherein the compound (c) is present by weight percentage in the composition in an amount ranging from about 0.001 to about 10, preferably from about 0.01 to about 5, and more preferably from about 0.05 to about 2 based on the total weight of the composition. The compositions can reduce aldehyde emission, especially acetaldehyde emission in the PU foam and has no obvious influence on the mechanic properties of the foam.
Use of micro and nanocellulose as performance modifiers in flexible polyurethane foams
A polyurethane foam is produced by reacting a polyol-containing composition and an isocyanate composition. The polyol-containing composition includes a petrol-based polyol at greater than or equal to about 50 parts by weight percent and cellulose reinforcements. Additionally, a soy-based polyol is also included in various polyol-containing compositions.
POLYURETHANE AND POLYISOCYANURATE FOAM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A method of producing a polyurethane or polyisocyanurate foam is provided which involves the use of a specific combination of hydrofluoroolefin blowing agents and cell nucleators. The resulting foams have excellent long term thermal insulating performance and have reduced thickness in comparison to conventional thermal insulating boards. The rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate boards may be used to insulate refrigeration bodies, such as those employed in vehicles comprising refrigeration units, and cold storage containers.
Method for reducing the aldehyde emissions of polyurethane foams
The present invention relates to a process for producing polyurethanes having reduced aldehyde emissions using large amounts of phenolic antioxidants. The present invention further relates to the polyurethanes obtainable from this process, and to the use of such polyurethanes, for example in the interior of automobiles.
FILM WITH VOID SPACES BONDED THROUGH CATALYSIS AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
A film is provided with void spaces having a porous structure with less cracks and a high proportion of void space as well as having strength. The film with void spaces includes one kind or two or more kinds of structural units that form a structure with minute void spaces, wherein the structural units are chemically bonded through catalysis. For example, the abrasion resistance measured with BEMCOT® is in the range from 60% to 100%, and the folding endurance measured by the MIT test is 100 times or more. The film with void spaces can be produced by forming the precursor of the silicone porous body using sol containing pulverized products of a gelled silicon compound and then chemically bonding the pulverized products contained in the precursor of the silicone porous body. The chemical bond among the pulverized products is preferably a chemical crosslinking bond among the pulverized products.
