Polyurethane foam article and method of forming same
A polyurethane foam article comprises the reaction product of an isocyanate component and isocyanate-reactive composition in the presence of a blowing agent. The isocyanate component includes an isocyanate prepolymer comprising the reaction product of a first polyether polyol and a methylene diphenyl diisocyanate. The isocyanate-reactive composition comprises a second polyether polyol having secondary terminal hydroxyl groups and an amine-initiated catalytic polyether polyol having primary hydroxyl groups. A method of making the polyurethane foam article comprises the steps of reacting the first polyether polyol and methylene diphenyl diisocyanate to form the isocyanate prepolymer and reacting the isocyanate prepolymer with the isocyanate-reactive composition in the presence of the blowing agent to form the polyurethane foam article.
HCFO-CONTAINING ISOCYANATE-REACTIVE COMPOSITIONS, RELATED FOAM-FORMING COMPOSITIONS AND POLYURETHANE FOAMS
Disclosed are HCFO-containing isocyanate-reactive compositions, polyurethane foam-forming compositions containing such isocyanate-reactive compositions, rigid polyurethane foams made using such polyurethane foam-forming compositions, and methods for producing such foams, including use of such foams as insulation in the construction of refrigerated storage devices. The isocyanate-reactive composition can exhibit a long shelf life, be shelf-stable, and produce a foam with good thermal insulation properties.
Compositions for polyolefin foams
A foamable composition including a polypropylene-based copolymer and a polyolefin is disclosed. The composition can be used to make a stiff foam with a high closed-cell content. Methods for producing the composition and the foam are provided.
Organic amine salt foamer
Disclosed is an organic amine salt foaming agent, that is, a composite polyurethane foaming agent, comprising: 1) hexafluorobutene; and 2) an alkanolamine salt mixture (MAA), the alkanolamine salt mixture (MAA) contains an organic amine salt compound having the following general formula (I): A.sup.n−[B.sup.m+].sub.p (I); wherein A.sup.n− is one or two or three selected from the following anions: (b) carbonate: CO.sub.3.sup.2−; (c) formate: HCOO.sup.−; (d) bicarbonate: HO—COO.sup.−. A polyurethane foaming method using carbon dioxide and an organic amine in combination is also disclosed, in which carbon dioxide is added to a polyurethane composition for foaming. A method for preparing an alkanolamine carbonate salt with low water content from ammonium carbonate and an epoxide is additionally disclosed, in which a liquid alkanolamine salt mixture is used as a dispersion medium or as a solvent for reaction raw material.

POLYOLEFIN RESIN FOAM SHEET AND LAMINATE
A polyolefin resin foam sheet includes a resin mixture as a base resin, the resin mixture including 0% by mass or more and 30% by mass or less of polyethylene resin, 30% by mass or more and 80% by mass or less of polypropylene resin, and 20% by mass or more and 40% by mass or less of a polyolefin elastomer, the polyolefin resin foam sheet fulfilling a range of −35% or more and 0% or less for dimensional changes in machine and transverse directions under heating for 10 minutes at a temperature 20° C. higher than a maximum melting point that is a highest melting peak in a differential scanning calorimetry.
COMPOSITIONS AND USES OF CIS-1,1,1,4,4,4-HEXAFLUORO-2-BUTENE AND CYCLOPENTANE
Disclosed is a thermoset, thermal insulating foams having desirable and unexpectedly low thermal conductivity, and to compositions, method and systems which use and/or are used to make such foams comprising: (a) providing thermosetting foam forming component and a blowing agent for forming predominantly closed cells in the foam, wherein the blowing agent comprises: (i) cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene (HFO-1336mzzm(Z)) and cyclopentane, with the HFO-1336mzzm(Z) and cyclopentane in the blowing agent together comprising at least about 50% by weight of the total of all components in the blowing agent and (ii) the weight ratio of HFO-1336mzzm(Z) to cyclopentane in the blowing agent is from about 45:55 to less than 68:32 and (b) forming foam from said provided foamable composition.
HCFO-CONTAINING POLYURETHANE FOAM-FORMING COMPOSITIONS, RELATED FOAMS AND METHODS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION
Polyurethane foam-forming compositions, methods of producing polyurethane foams, polyurethane foams produced from such compositions made by such methods, as well as isocyanate-reactive compositions. The polyurethane foam-forming compositions include a polyol blend, a blowing agent composition, and a polyisocyanate. The polyol blend includes an aromatic amine-initiated polyether polyol, a saccharide-initiated polyether polyol, and an aromatic polyester polyol and has a content of —C.sub.2H.sub.4O— units of 3 to 6% by weight, based on the total weight of the polyurethane foam-forming composition. The blowing agent composition includes a hydrochlorofluoroolefin and a carbon dioxide-generating chemical blowing agent.
High filling and high resilience soft foaming polyethylene material and preparation method thereof
Disclosed is a high filling and high resilience soft foaming polyethylene material, comprising the following parts of raw materials by weight: 15-20 parts polyethylene, 5-20 parts elastomers, 60-80 parts modified calcium carbonate, 1-10 parts chemical foaming agent, 0.5-1.5 parts crosslinking agent and 1-5 parts physical foaming agent. Also disclosed is a method of preparing high filling and high resilience soft foaming polyethylene material. The present invention can prepare a high calcium carbonate filling and high resilience soft foaming polyethylene material with calcium carbonate filler content as high as 55-75%, improving rigidity, hardness and compressive strength of the material while maintaining the elasticity of the foaming material, and reducing material density. The present invention has a simple process, greatly reduces costs and is economical and practical.
COMPOSITIONS FOR POLYOLEFIN FOAMS
A foamable composition including a polypropylene-based copolymer and a polyolefin is disclosed. The composition can be used to make a stiff foam with a high closed-cell content. Methods for producing the composition and the foam are provided.
