Perfluoroaminoolefins and methods of making and using the same
Described herein is a perfluorinated aminoolefin compound of general formula (I): CFY═CXN(R.sub.f)CF.sub.2R.sub.f′ where: (a) R.sub.f and R.sub.f′ are (i) independently selected from a linear or branched perfluoroalkyl group having 1-8 carbon atoms, optionally comprising at least one catenated O or N atom, or (ii) bonded together to form a perfluorinated ring structure having 4-8 ring carbon atoms, optionally comprising at least one catenated O atom; and (b) X and Y are (i) independently selected from a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, or (ii) bonded together to form a perfluorinated ring structure having 5-6 ring carbon atoms. Such compounds may be used in heat transfer, foam blowing or immersion cooling applications, or as a working fluid in a Rankine cycle, a coating or lubricant, or as a dielectric fluid. Also disclosed herein is a method for making such compounds.

SIZING COMPOSITION FOR MINERAL FIBERS AND RESULTING PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to a sizing composition for mineral fibers, especially glass fibers or rock fibers, containing a liquid phenolic resin having a free formaldehyde content, expressed with respect to the total weight of liquid, of 0.1% or less and an extender.
Preferably, the liquid phenolic resin is mainly composed of phenol-formaldehyde and phenol-formaldehyde-amine condensates and has a water dilutability, at 20° C., at least equal to 1000%.
Another subject of the present invention is the insulating products based on mineral fibers treated by said sizing composition.

The invention relates to a composition for the production of foams based on phenolic resin, use thereof, and a process for the production of the composition. For provision of a composition for the production of foams based on phenolic resin, where the said composition delivers improved reaction to fire with, in essence, no alteration of further important foam properties, it is proposed that the composition comprises an alkoxylated novolak, wherein the novolak is produced using phenol, cresol and/or xylenol.

The present invention concerns Method for producing a unidirectional tape, the method comprising the steps of a) providing an impregnation slurry comprising primary particles and secondary particles, water, optionally an organic carrying medium, optionally an organic compound and optionally a surface active compound, and providing a unidirectional fiber layer having an average interstitial filament distance, wherein the primary particles comprise a first polymer and the primary particles have a particle size equal to or smaller than the average interstitial filament distance, and the secondary particles comprise a second polymer and the secondary particles have a particle size larger than the average interstitial filament distance, b) impregnating the unidirectional fiber layer with the impregnation slurry to form an impregnated unidirectional fiber web comprising an impregnated unidirectional fiber layer and a surface polymer layer, wherein the impregnated unidirectional fiber layer comprises, preferably consists of, the unidirectional fibers and the primary particles, and the surface polymer layer comprises the secondary particles, c) drying the impregnated unidirectional fiber web to obtain a unidirectional tape.
