FLEXIBLE GASTIGHT MATERIAL FOR LANDFILL SITE, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE METHOD THEREOF
A flexible gastight material for a landfill site includes a component A and a component B, the component A including: at least one of polypropylene glycol with a molecular weight of 600-4000, polytetrahydrofuran diol with a molecular weight of 1000-3000, polycaprolactone diol with a molecular weight of 1000-3000, and polycarbonate diol with a molecular weight of 1000-3000; and at least one of 2,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, toluene diisocyanate, isophorone diisocyanate, and hexamethylene diisocyanate. The flexible gastight material for the landfill site provided in the present application has a micro-closed-cell foam structure. The closed-cell elastic structure of the flexible gastight material may block the volatilization of toxic and harmful odors, and may cut off the diffusion path of the odors by combining with gas treatment systems at the landfill site. The flexible gastight material has excellent water blocking and gas sealing performance.
THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE (TPU) FOAM PRODUCT WITH HIGH FLATNESS, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
A thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) foam product with high flatness, and a preparation method and a use thereof are provided. The TPU foam product is prepared by processing aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane (ATPU) beads with a melting range of 20° C. to 50° C. and a melting point of 90° C. to 160° C. by a physical gas foaming process to obtain foamed ATPU beads and heating the foamed ATPU beads with a heat source to make the foamed ATPU beads fused. The TPU foam product with high flatness has a density of 0.08 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.8 g/cm.sup.3 and a flatness value of less than 2 mm, and the flatness value is determined by a fixed-length ruler. The TPU foam product not only has high flatness such that diversified designs are allowed for a surface of the product, but also has high resilience.

The invention relates to a method for producing a cured composition which has at least one oxazolidinone ring and at least one isocyanurate ring and is cross-linked by the same, starting from a liquid reactive mixture which, based on the total weight thereof, contains at least one epoxy resin, at least one polyisocyanate, at least one polyol, and at least one catalyst composition. The invention further relates to the cured composition obtainable thereby.
Degradable foam-containing tires, related methods and kits for adding degradable foam to tires
Disclosed herein are kits for use in adding degradable foam to a tire, methods for preparing a degradable foam-containing tire, tires containing degradable foam, and methods for degrading the degradable foam in tires containing degradable foam. The degradable foam comprises a combination of (i) at least one di- or polyisocyanate, (ii) at least one polysiloxane diol, at least one polysiloxane diamine, or a combination thereof, and (iii) optionally at least one polyol.
Polyurethane foam article and method of forming same
A polyurethane foam article comprises the reaction product of an isocyanate component and isocyanate-reactive composition in the presence of a blowing agent. The isocyanate component includes an isocyanate prepolymer comprising the reaction product of a first polyether polyol and a methylene diphenyl diisocyanate. The isocyanate-reactive composition comprises a second polyether polyol having secondary terminal hydroxyl groups and an amine-initiated catalytic polyether polyol having primary hydroxyl groups. A method of making the polyurethane foam article comprises the steps of reacting the first polyether polyol and methylene diphenyl diisocyanate to form the isocyanate prepolymer and reacting the isocyanate prepolymer with the isocyanate-reactive composition in the presence of the blowing agent to form the polyurethane foam article.
IMPROVED RIGID PUR AND PIR FOAM
A method for preparing rigid polyurethane (PUR) foams or rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) foams in which method the rigid PUR or PIR foam is prepared by reacting a composition (C) comprising: at least one isocyanate-reactive component (B1) having functional groups selected from hydroxyl, amine and thiol groups; at least one isocyanate component (A1) having an average functionality of less than 2.70; and at least one blowing agent [blowing agent (BA), herein after]; with the proviso that the overall average functionality [F.sub.n,avg(A), herein after] of all isocyanate components present in the composition (C) is less than 2.70; wherein the composition (C) is characterized by an isocyanate index X, wherein the rigid PUR or PIR foams are produced by depositing the composition (C) between two gas-tight facing sheets and wherein the rigid PUR or PIR foam is characterized by a difference Δλ between the initial thermal conductivity value λ.sub.ini and the aged thermal conductivity value λ.sub.aged of said rigid PUR or PIR foam wherein: when X≤200 then Δλ<1.35; and when X>200 then Δλ<[6.49−(4.46*F.sub.n,avg(A))−(0.02348*X)+(0.492*F.sub.n,avg(A)*F.sub.n,avg(A))+(0.01343*F.sub.n,avg(A)*X)+0.3].
POLYMER COMPOSITION FOR WATERPROOF-BREATHABLE FILMS
The invention relates to a composition consisting of 75 to 98 wt %, relative to the weight of the composition, of at least one hydrophilic elastomeric thermoplastic polymer (TPE) A selected from (a1) copolymers containing polyester blocks and polyether blocks, (a2) copolymers containing polyurethane blocks and polyether blocks or polyester blocks and/or mixtures thereof; 2 to 15% by weight, relative to the weight of the composition, of at least one copolymer B comprising units derived from ethylene, from an alkyl (meth)acrylate and from a comonomer comprising at least one acid, anhydride or epoxide function; and 0 to 10% by weight, relative to the weight of the composition, of at least one additive. The invention further relates to a process for manufacturing a film and to said film.
THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE FOAM AND IMPACT RESISTANT COMPOSITE LAMINATE COMPRISING THE SAME
Provided are a thermoplastic polyurethane foam and an impact resistant composite laminate. The thermoplastic polyurethane comprises a structural unit represented by Formula (I):
##STR00001## wherein each R independently is an alkylene group having 2 to 8 carbon atoms or —CH.sub.2CH.sub.2OCH.sub.2CH.sub.2— or —CH.sub.2CH.sub.2OCH.sub.2CH.sub.2OCH.sub.2CH.sub.2—; n is a number from 2 to 13; and the structural unit has a Mn ranging from 700 g/mole to 2500 g/mole. The impact resistant composite laminate comprises a base layer and a first impact resistant layer formed by the thermoplastic polyurethane foam, and the first impact resistant layer overlaps the base layer.
POLYMER POLYOLS, PROCESSES FOR THEIR PREPARATION, AND THE USE THEREOF TO PRODUCE FOAMS EXHIBITING RESISTANCE TO COMBUSTION
Polymer polyols (“PMPOs”), processes for their production, and the use of such PMPOs, particularly in the production of flexible polyurethane foams. The PMPOs are produced using an ethylenically unsaturated composition that includes a crosslinker that results in crosslinks in the PMPO polymer particles that may decompose when exposed to flame temperatures. The PMPOs is capable of providing a flexible polyurethane foam that may exhibit combustibility resistance properties.
