These novel polyether polyol blends may also be in-situ formed novel polyether polyol blends. A process for preparing these novel polyether polyol blends is also disclosed. These novel polyether polyol blends are suitable for preparing viscoelastic flexible polyurethane foams, and in a process for preparing viscoelastic foams.
Use of micro and nanocellulose as performance modifiers in flexible polyurethane foams
A polyurethane foam is produced by reacting a polyol-containing composition and an isocyanate composition. The polyol-containing composition includes a petrol-based polyol at greater than or equal to about 50 parts by weight percent and cellulose reinforcements. Additionally, a soy-based polyol is also included in various polyol-containing compositions.
POLYURETHANE AND POLYISOCYANURATE FOAM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A method of producing a polyurethane or polyisocyanurate foam is provided which involves the use of a specific combination of hydrofluoroolefin blowing agents and cell nucleators. The resulting foams have excellent long term thermal insulating performance and have reduced thickness in comparison to conventional thermal insulating boards. The rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate boards may be used to insulate refrigeration bodies, such as those employed in vehicles comprising refrigeration units, and cold storage containers.
Isocyanate trimerization catalyst for making polyisocyanurate comprising foams
A trimerization catalyst composition suitable for making a polyisocyanurate comprising (insulation) foam, said composition comprising at least a trimerization catalyst compound selected from one or more organic salts from alkoxides wherein said organic salt is selected from alkali metal, earth alkali metal, a transition metal such as Ti and/or quaternary ammonium organic salts.
Method for reducing the aldehyde emissions of polyurethane foams
The present invention relates to a process for producing polyurethanes having reduced aldehyde emissions using large amounts of phenolic antioxidants. The present invention further relates to the polyurethanes obtainable from this process, and to the use of such polyurethanes, for example in the interior of automobiles.
MIXTURES CONTAINING 1.1.1.4.4.4.- HEXAFLUOROBUTENE AND 1-CHLORO-3.3.3-TRIFLUOROPROPENE
The present invention relates to mixtures of 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluorobutene (1336mzzm) and 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (1233zd). The blends are useful as blowing agents for polymer foam, solvents, aerosol propellants and heat transfer media.
AQUEOUS POLYURETHANE DISPERSIONS
The present invention relates to an aqueous polyurethane dispersion, a method for the preparation thereof, a product comprising the same, and use thereof for a coating composition, an impregnating composition, an adhesive or a sealant. The aqueous polyurethane dispersion comprises a polyurethane obtained by reacting a system comprising the following components: A1) at least one polyisocyanate having an isocyanate functionality of not less than 2; A2) at least two different polytetramethylene ether glycols A2a) and A2b), the A2a) having a number average molecular weight of not more than 1500 g/mol, the A2b) having a number average molecular weight of more than 1500 g/mol; and A3) at least one anionic or potentially anionic hydrophilic agent having a number average molecular weight of 32 g/mol to 400 g/mol and containing hydroxyl and carboxyl functions; B) at least one amino-functional anionic or potentially anionic hydrophilic agent; and C) at least one amino-functional compound having a number average molecular weight of 32 g/mol to 400 g/mol and containing no hydrophilic group; wherein the ratio of the number average molecular weight of the A2a) to the number average molecular weight of the A2b) is 1:9 to less than 1:1, and the weight of the A3) amounts to 20% to 70% of the weight of the hydrophilic agents of the system, wherein the hydrophilic agents of the system are components A3 and B.
