MASTERBATCH BASED ON A MODIFIED POLYMER AND AN ORGANOPHOSPHORUS ADDITIVE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A process for manufacturing a masterbatch comprises the following steps: (a) bringing at least one initial polymer comprising at least one carbon-carbon unsaturation into contact with at least one 1,3-dipolar grafting agent bearing at least one nitrile oxide dipole in the presence of at least one organophosphorus additive selected from the group consisting of phosphoric acid triesters, phosphonates, phosphinates, phosphine oxides and the mixtures of these compounds, and (b) recovering the masterbatch obtained in the preceding step. The masterbatch and compositions containing it and also tires comprising such compositions are also disclosed.
Composite with direct bonding between rubber and foam
This disclosure relates to a composite comprising (a) a rubber layer comprising a cured rubber and optionally a first copolymer having carboxyl groups or anhydride groups; and (b) a foam layer comprising a crosslinked ethylene vinyl acetate and optionally a second copolymer having carboxyl groups or glycidyl methacrylate groups; wherein the foam layer has at least one surface adhering to the rubber layer directly, and provided that either the first copolymer or the second copolymer is present, and the composite is free of glues or adhesive films in the interface between the rubber layer and the foam layer.
FILMS INCLUDING POST CONSUMER RESIN
Provided are films made from polymer blends including post-consumer resin (PCR). The films are formed from a polymer blend that includes a PCR, a low density polyethylene and/or ethylene/carbon monoxide copolymer (ECO copolymer), and a modification agent. The films, which include a PCR, contribute to improved sustainability and in aspects maintain or minimize the reduction of desirable properties, such as elastic recovery.
Hydrothermal treatment of renewable raw material
The present invention relates to a particulate carbon material that can be produced from renewable raw materials, in particular from biomass containing lignin, comprising: a 14C content that corresponds to that of the renewable raw materials, said content being preferably greater than 0.20 Bq/g carbon, especially preferably greater than 0.23 Bq/g carbon, but preferably less than 0.45 Bq/g carbon in each case; a carbon content in relation to the ash-free dry substance of between 60 ma. % and 80 ma. %; an STSA surface area of the primary particles of at least 5 m2/g and at most 200 m2/g; and an oil absorption value (OAN) of between 50 ml/100 g and 150 ml/100 g. The present invention also relates to a method for producing said carbon material and to the use thereof.
High filling and high resilience soft foaming polyethylene material and preparation method thereof
Disclosed is a high filling and high resilience soft foaming polyethylene material, comprising the following parts of raw materials by weight: 15-20 parts polyethylene, 5-20 parts elastomers, 60-80 parts modified calcium carbonate, 1-10 parts chemical foaming agent, 0.5-1.5 parts crosslinking agent and 1-5 parts physical foaming agent. Also disclosed is a method of preparing high filling and high resilience soft foaming polyethylene material. The present invention can prepare a high calcium carbonate filling and high resilience soft foaming polyethylene material with calcium carbonate filler content as high as 55-75%, improving rigidity, hardness and compressive strength of the material while maintaining the elasticity of the foaming material, and reducing material density. The present invention has a simple process, greatly reduces costs and is economical and practical.
Self-assembled Propylene-based Compositions and Methods of Production Thereof
Disclosed are self-assembled propylene-based bi-layer compositions having a skin layer comprising a propylene-based elastomer-toughened composition and a core layer comprising a propylene-based fiber-reinforced composition, wherein the propylene-based elastomer-toughened composition and propylene-based fiber-reinforced composition self-assemble upon mixing into the skin layer and the core layer. Processes for producing these self-assembled propylene-based compositions are also disclosed.
Member for shoe soles, and shoes
Provided is a shoe sole member including a crosslinked foam forming a part or the whole of the shoe sole member, wherein the crosslinked foam is formed by a polymer composition showing specific results in measurement using pulsed NMR.
SHOE SOLE MEMBER AND SHOE
Provided is a shoe sole member partially or entirely formed by a crosslinked foam, wherein the crosslinked foam shows specific results of pulsed NMR measurement.
FILM ADHESIVE
Curable compositions are provided which comprise: a) 30-80 wt % of a room temperature liquid epoxy resin; b) 0.5-10 wt % of an epoxy curative; c) 5-40 wt % of a thermoplastic resin; and d) 0.5-10 wt % of a physical blowing agent. In some embodiments, the curable compositions may be fire retardant. In some embodiments, the curable compositions may be used in the form of films, and more particularly as core splice film adhesives.
Foam and production method thereof
One object of the present invention is to provide a polyolefin resin foam which does not have a difference between the front side and the back side on the top and bottom surfaces which sandwich in the thickness direction the foam which is excellent in flexibility, buffer property, and heat insulation property despite its thinness, and which can be used suitably in the fields of architecture, electricity, electronics, vehicles, and the like as a variety of heat-resistant sealing materials. The surface hardness of the foam measured by a micro rubber hardness tester is 30° or more and 70° or less, and the centerline average roughness Ra75 of a first surface portion on one side of the foam in the thickness direction and of a second surface portion on the other side of the foam in the thickness direction is 5 μm or more and 20 μm or less.
