A METHOD FOR PREPARING A PRE-TREATED SYNTHETIC LATEX EMULSION
The present invention relates to a method (100) for preparing a pre-treated synthetic latex emulsion, the method comprising the steps of, adding a synthetic latex into a tank (101), characterized by mixing a surfactant with the synthetic latex in the tank (102), adding alkaline material into a mixture of the synthetic latex added with the surfactant (103), adding a reactive metal ion into the mixture (104) and continue mixing the mixture for at least two hours (105), wherein the reactive metal ion is obtained by heating a metal oxide or metal hydroxide with supply of alkaline material at 120 to 180° C.
ADHESIVE TAPE
An adhesive tape can reduce percussive sounds or friction sounds, can prevent contamination of a covered article due to contamination by dirt or dust or intrusion by water or oil, has durability against puncture or friction, and easily bends after binding a covered article. The adhesive tape having a substrate including 100 parts by mass of a polyvinyl chloride and, with respect to the 100 parts by mass of the polyvinyl chloride, 10-100 parts by mass of an elastomer and 10-100 parts by mass of a plasticizer, wherein the elastomer includes an acrylonitrile monomer unit and at least one monomer unit selected from the group made of a chloroprene monomer unit, a butadiene monomer unit, and an isoprene monomer unit and the adhesive tape has an attenuation value of 2 dB or greater in an acoustic absorption test.
ELASTOMERIC CHEMICAL BARRIER ARTICLES
Provided among other things is an elastomeric article providing a chemical barrier, the article having a layered structure comprising a sequential laminate of: (a) a latex-based elastomeric polymeric barrier layer; (b) a non-reactive tie adhesive resin layer comprising oxo (—(C═O)—) groups; and (c) a polyamide layer; wherein the layered structure has a first side nearest the latex-based elastomeric polymeric barrier layer and a second side; wherein the layered structure is effective to provide a chemical permeation time in excess of 100 minutes pursuant to EN 16523-1:2015 for benchmark solvents of acetone, ethyl acetate and methanol, when applied to the first side, and in excess of 100 minutes for acetone when applied to the second side; and wherein the elastomeric layer is primarily not polyolefin.
Softer Blended Nitrile Elastomeric Article
An elastomeric article is formed from a blend of nitrile rubber and polychloroprene rubber. The elastomeric article can be a glove, such as a medical exam glove. The elastomeric article is softer than a conventional nitrile elastomeric article. The elastomeric article is formed from a blended rubber latex emulsion of nitrile and polychloroprene. The blended rubber latex emulsion may be free of sulfur and vulcanization accelerators.

CHLOROPRENE POLYMER LATEX COMPOSITION, AND DIP MOLDED BODY
A chloroprene polymer latex composition being a mixture of a chloroprene polymer latex A and a chloroprene polymer latex B, in which a 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene copolymerized amount in a chloroprene polymer of the chloroprene polymer latex B is 3% by mass or more, a toluene insoluble content of the chloroprene polymer of the chloroprene polymer latex B is 70% by mass or more, a weight average molecular weight of a toluene soluble content in the chloroprene polymer latex A is 5,000 to 250,000, and a specific mass ratio b/a is 0.10 or more.
CHLOROPRENE POLYMER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR, CHLOROPRENE POLYMER COMPOSITION, AND DIP MOLDED BODY
A chloroprene polymer containing at least one selected from the group consisting of a homopolymer of chloroprene and a copolymer of chloroprene with 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene, in which in gel permeation chromatography measurement of a toluene soluble content, the chloroprene polymer has a first peak having a weight average molecular weight of 500,000 to 900,000 and a second peak having a weight average molecular weight of 7,000 to 80,000, and a toluene insoluble content is 60% by mass or more.
