Disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing a foam composition comprising blending together an olefin copolymer that comprises ethylene and an α-olefin or propylene and an α-olefin; an ionomer that comprises copolymer of ethylene and a carboxylic acid; where the ionomer is neutralized with a metal ion; a crosslinking agent; and a blowing agent to form the foam composition; heating the composition to activate the blowing agent; and crosslinking the composition.
Resin composition for manufacturing medical storage container, sheet and medical storage container
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a resin composition for manufacturing a medical storage container that has improved oxygen permeability and that tends not to have excessively lower transparency. To this end, the present invention pertains to a resin composition for manufacturing a medical storage container, the composition including polyethylene (a) and polymethylpentene (b). The resin composition contains, as polyethylene (a), a first polyethylene (a-1), which is a main component of the polyethylene (a), and a second polyethylene (a-2) having a lower density than the first polyethylene.
ADDITIVE CONTAINING LIQUID MASTERBATCH FORMULATIONS FOR POLYMER ARTICLES
The invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition comprising an additive formulation, the use of said formulation as a liquid additive concentrate in a thermoplastic resin composition, methods for improving specific properties of additives in a thermoplastic resin composition, the use of specific carriers for improving said properties, and a kit of parts for preparing a thermoplastic resin composition. In particular, specific carrier substances enhance the technical efficiency of additives, if these are introduced into polymers derived from ethylenically unsaturated monomers, such as polyolefins.
Polyolefin resin composition and production method of same
Disclosed are a polyolefin resin composition and a production method using same. The polyolefin resin satisfies the following conditions: (1) melt index (MI2.16, 190° C., under a load of 2.16 kg) is 0.1 to 1.5 g/10 min; (2) density is 0.91 to 0.93 g/cc; (3) polydispersity Index (Mw (weight-average molecular weight)/Mn (number-average molecular weight)) is 3 to 7; (4) Mz (Z-average molecular weight)/Mw (weight-average molecular weight) is 2.3 to 4.5; and (5) COI(Comonomer Orthogonal Index) value calculated by Equation 1 in the specification is 5 to 12. In Equation 1, “SCB number at Mz” represents average number of branches derived from comonomers per 1000 carbon atoms at Z-average molecular weight (Mz), and “SCB number at Mn” represents average number of branches derived from comonomers per 1000 carbon atoms at number-average molecular weight (Mn) based on a molecular weight-comonomer distribution graph.
Thermoplastic resin composition for interior material of automobiles, and molded product for interior material of automobiles
Provided is a thermoplastic resin composition for an interior material of automobiles, comprising a biomass-derived resin. The thermoplastic resin composition for an interior material of automobiles uses a biomass-derived resin, which replaces a petroleum-based thermoplastic resin, so as to reduce the generation of CO2, thereby providing an environmentally friendly effect.
METHODS OF PRODUCING POLYOLEFIN FOAM SHEETS AND ARTICLES MADE THEREOF
A method of manufacturing a polyolefin foam sheet composition includes extruding a polyolefin sheet, irradiating the extruded sheet to obtain a physically crosslinked sheet, foaming the physically crosslinked sheet with heat to obtain a foamed layer, and skiving the foamed layer to obtain a foam sheet with at least one skived surface. The surface roughness of the skived surface of the foam sheet is different from the surface roughness of an unskived surface.
