An ultra-light graphene-rubber foam particle for soles is prepared from, by weight, 60-65 parts of natural rubber, 8-12 parts of isoprene rubber, 8-12 parts of butadiene rubber, 6-8 parts of styrene butadiene rubber, 0.8-1.0 parts of modified graphene, 0.08-0.12 parts of poly(N-vinylacetamide), 0.8-1.0 parts of silicone oil, 3.0-3.5 parts of inorganic nano-particles, 1.2-1.5 parts of activated zinc oxide, 0.8-1.0 parts of zinc stearate, 1.0-1.2 parts of stearic acid, 0.8-1.0 parts of cross-linking agents, 2.0-3.0 parts of flow promotors, and 1.5-1.8 parts of foaming agents. According to the invention, the modified graphene is uniformly dispersed into the rubber materials, so that the ultra-light graphene-rubber foam particle has good thermal stability, wear resistance and tensile strength, the permanent compressive-deformation performance and thermal contraction resistance are improved, and the weight is reduced by over 50%.
Openly porous acoustic foam, process for manufacture and uses thereof
There is provided a method of manufacturing an openly and highly porous thermoset foam, the method comprising the steps of mixing a thermosetting resin and crystals to form a mixture; applying pressure to the mixture to expel excess thermosetting resin, thereby producing a network of crystals touching each other with the thermosetting resin filling the interstices between the crystals of said network; curing the thermosetting resin in the mixture under pressure to produce a cured material; and contacting the cured material with a solvent for the crystals, thereby leaching the crystals out of the cured material, thereby obtaining said openly and highly porous thermoset foam. There is also provided a thermoset foam made of a thermoset and having a porosity of at least about 70%, wherein more than about 75% of the pores in the foam are connected to a neighboring pore.
Polyolefin-Based Resin Foam, and Molded Product Produced Therefrom
The present invention relates to: a polyolefin-based resin foam including a polyolefin-based resin and a conductive filler containing carbon nanotubes and carbon black, wherein the weight ratio of the carbon nanotubes to the carbon black is about 1:1.5 to about 1:5; and a molded product produced therefrom. The polyolefin-based resin foam according to the present invention includes the carbon nanotubes and the carbon black in an appropriate ratio, and thus a molded product having good bondability and exhibiting low surface resistance and surface resistance deviation can be produced by molding the same.
RETICULATED CARBON COMPOSITES
This invention discloses a reticulated film composite and a method of fabricating a reticulated film composite suitable as a 3 dimensional porous and conductive matrix which contains up to 80% porosity and exhibits high recovery after compression. The reticulated film composite is produced by casting and drying of a slurry which exhibits a high yield stress (i.e. greater than 50 dyne/cm2) and comprised of a high MW resin dissolved in a solvent (i.e. having solution viscosity of higher than 100 cp at 5% in NMP at room temperature) and dispersed nanoparticles of carbon of high specific surface areas (i.e. greater than 1 m2/g preferably greater than 10 m2/g), examples include but not limited to conductive carbon, carbon nanotubes, graphene, activated carbon or mixture thereof. This reticulated film composite exhibits high electrical conductivity (i.e. volume resistivity of less than 10,000 Ω.Math.cm) and superior dimensional stability even at elevated temperatures (i.e. at 140° C.). It will exhibit a recovery of height or porosity after being compressed to over 50% of its height. The composite of this invention is suitable as an electrically conductive composite, as a gas diffusion layer in a fuel cell, or as a high efficiency electrode in super capacitors
Diaphragm for alkaline water electrolysis, method for producing same, and method for producing inorganic-organic composite membrane
The invention provides a diaphragm for alkaline water electrolysis with reduced dissolution of an inorganic component in an alkali solution at low cost. The present invention relates to a diaphragm for alkaline water electrolysis, including magnesium hydroxide and an organic polymer resin.
Superabsorbent polymer composition and method for preparing the same
The present invention relates to superabsorbent polymer and a method for preparing the same. The present invention can provide a superabsorbent polymer in which a hydrophobic material having an HLB of 0-6 and a surface cross-linking agent are mixed into a base resin prepared in the presence of water dispersible silica, thereby having improved rewetting characteristics and permeability through surface-modification of the base resin.
