Aqueous dispersion and aqueous coating composition comprising the same

An aqueous dispersion, an aqueous coating composition comprising the aqueous dispersion, and coatings made therefrom capable of slow release of fragrance.

LOW-ODOR SOFT PVC MATERIAL

Disclosed is a low-odor soft PVC material. The material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of a PVC resin, 60-125 parts of a plasticizer, 2-10 parts of a heat stabilizer, 10-50 parts of a filler, 0-2 parts of an antioxidant, 0.02-0.06 parts of a lubricant and 0.5-1 parts of a deodorant. The PVC resin has a degree of polymerization of lower than 1300; and the deodorant comprises nano calcium carbonate and zinc ricinoleate. By selecting a PVC resin with a low degree of polymerization and a deodorant with a high deodorizing efficiency, the low-odor soft PVC material of the present invention reduces odors from the source, has a small overall impact on the appearance and performance of automotive interior parts, and is low in cost and suitable for large-scale production.

The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. More particularly, it concerns polymers derived from siloxane derivatives and comprising at least one β-thio carbonyl moiety capable of liberating an active molecule such as, for example, an α,β-unsaturated ketone or aldehyde. The present invention concerns also the use of polymers in perfumery as part of a perfuming or malodor counteracting composition as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles comprising the invention's compounds.

The present invention relates to a fragrant material containing aromatic essential oil for improving the retention of the smell and intensity of aroma of aromatic essential oil, and to a method for preparing the same. The fragrant material having long-lasting fragrance according to an embodiment of the present invention contains aromatic essential oil and porous silica loading the aromatic essential oil and having controlled hydrophilicity or hydrophobicity of a surface thereof, wherein the required hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (rHLB) of the aromatic essential oil and the O/C ratio in the porous silica satisfy 0.9≤required hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (rHLB) of aromatic essential oil/(O/C ratio of porous silica)≤2.9.

Perfume microcapsules and related film and detergent compositions

Perfume microcapsule-containing films, related solutions, and containers including the films (e.g. detergent packets) are disclosed, together with their methods of preparation and use.

POLY(AMIDE-ESTER) MICROCAPSULES

Described herein are a process for the preparation of poly(amide-ester) microcapsules, and such poly(amide-ester) microcapsules. Perfuming compositions and consumer products comprising such capsules, in particular perfumed consumer products in the form of home care or personal care products, are also described.

PLANT FIBER-CONTAINING COMPOSITE RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE WITH SUSTAINED RELEASE OF AROMA

A plant fiber-containing composite resin molded article contains a base resin, plant fibers, and, a dispersant, in which each of the plant fibers contains an aroma component, the base resin is a crystalline resin, and in a case where a total content of the base resin, the plant fibers, and the dispersant is 100% by mass, a content of the plant fibers is more than or equal to 50% by mass and less than or equal to 90% by mass.

Gels comprising a hydrophobic material

The gel compositions as described herein, are less affected by changes in humidity, are readily formed into complex shapes, and can contain high loadings of the hydrophobic material, even when the material is not highly hydrophobic, and provide a more controlled release of the hydrophobic material. It is believed that the slow release is achieved by forming the gel to have a tight cross-linked network with small pore-size. The pore size is correlated to the average correlation length as measured using Small Angle X-Ray Scattering (SAXS). By limiting the average correlation length to less than 8 nm, preferably from 0.3 nm to 8 nm, more preferably from 0.3 nm to 4 nm, a long lasting release of the hydrophobic material is achieved, rather than a blooming effect, whereby the hydrophobic material is released in a short burst.

Refresh agent

A coated rubber composition includes a rubber composition coated with a liquid refresh agent selected from the group consisting of one or more liquid terpenes, limonene, carvone, pinene, pine needle oil, citral, orange oil, C.sub.9-C.sub.15 aliphatics, C.sub.9-C.sub.15 cycloaliphatics, ethyl lactate, dipentene, 1,8-cineole, eucalyptol, citronellol, geraniol, citronellene, terpinen-4-ol, and combinations thereof. A method of application and a coated rubber composition are also disclosed.

Polymer-based training aids and methods of use

The subject invention provides the materials and methods for synthesizing novel training devices for biological detectors, such as canines, to locate a specific material by recognizing a characteristic scent associated with the material. In an exemplary embodiment, the training devices encapsulate at least one active odorant of certain illicit materials, such as cocaine, within a sol-gel polymer network. By manipulating the process of molecular encapsulation and polymer network synthesis, the novel training devices can reduce the influence of contaminants and dissipate the encapsulated odorant in a controlled fashion, allowing for the added benefit of improved shelf-life as compared to currently available training devices.
