CURABLE ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION, CURED PRODUCT THEREOF, PROTECTIVE AGENT OR ADHESIVE, AND ELECTRIC/ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A curable organopolysiloxane composition that is one component, has superior storage stability, favorable curability and adhesion at relatively low temperatures, and an appropriate usable time is provided. In particular, the composition has excellent curability even at temperatures of 80° C. or lower and excellent adhesion to resins such as polyester and polyphenylene sulfide. The composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups in each molecule thereof; (B) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon atom-bonded hydrogen atoms in a molecule; (C) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst; (D) a condensation reaction catalyst or a condensation reaction product thereof selected from the group consisting of tetra-tert-butoxy titanium, di(isopropoxy)bis(ethyl acetoacetate)titanium, and an aluminum chelate complex; and (E) a curing inhibitor. When cured, the composition provides a silicone rubber composition with a JIS A hardness of 5 or higher. The composition may include a large amount of (H) inorganic filler or the like.
CURABLE ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION, CURED PRODUCT THEREOF, PROTECTIVE AGENT OR ADHESIVE, AND ELECTRIC/ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A curable organopolysiloxane composition that is one component, has superior storage stability, favorable curability and adhesion at relatively low temperatures, and an appropriate usable time is provided. In particular, the composition has excellent curability even at temperatures of 80° C. or lower and excellent adhesion to resins such as polyester and polyphenylene sulfide. The composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups in each molecule thereof; (B) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon atom-bonded hydrogen atoms in a molecule; (C) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst; (D) a condensation reaction catalyst or a condensation reaction product thereof selected from the group consisting of tetra-tert-butoxy titanium, di(isopropoxy)bis(ethyl acetoacetate)titanium, and an aluminum chelate complex; and (E) a curing inhibitor. When cured, the composition provides a silicone rubber composition with a JIS A hardness of 5 or higher. The composition may include a large amount of (H) inorganic filler or the like.
ELASTOMERIC COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
A gel is provided which is the condensation reaction product of the following composition: (i) at least one condensation curable silyl terminated polymer having at least one hydrolysable and/or hydroxyl functional group(s) per molecule; (ii) a cross-linker selected from the group of a silicone, an organic polymer, a silane or a disilane molecule which contains at least two hydrolysable groups per molecule; and (iii) a condensation catalyst selected from the group of titanates, zirconates or tin (II). The molar ratio of hydroxyl and/or hydrolysable groups in polymer (i) to hydrolysable groups from component (ii) is between 0.5:1 and 1:1 using a monosilane cross-linker or 0.75:1 to 3:1 using disilanes, and the molar ratio of M-OR or tin (II) functions to the hydroxyl and/or hydrolysable group(s) in polymer (i) is comprised between 0.01:1 and 0.5:1, where M is titanium or zirconium. The composition, and uses for the gel are also disclosed.
ELASTOMERIC COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
A gel is provided which is the condensation reaction product of the following composition: (i) at least one condensation curable silyl terminated polymer having at least one hydrolysable and/or hydroxyl functional group(s) per molecule; (ii) a cross-linker selected from the group of a silicone, an organic polymer, a silane or a disilane molecule which contains at least two hydrolysable groups per molecule; and (iii) a condensation catalyst selected from the group of titanates, zirconates or tin (II). The molar ratio of hydroxyl and/or hydrolysable groups in polymer (i) to hydrolysable groups from component (ii) is between 0.5:1 and 1:1 using a monosilane cross-linker or 0.75:1 to 3:1 using disilanes, and the molar ratio of M-OR or tin (II) functions to the hydroxyl and/or hydrolysable group(s) in polymer (i) is comprised between 0.01:1 and 0.5:1, where M is titanium or zirconium. The composition, and uses for the gel are also disclosed.

A one-part room temperature vulcanisable (RTV) silicone composition containing a catalyst comprising (i) a titanate and/or zirconate and (ii) a metal carboxylate salt which cures to a silicone elastomer which may be used as a clear sealant which avoids discolouration and loss of adhesion upon aging.

A one-part room temperature vulcanisable (RTV) silicone composition containing a catalyst comprising (i) a titanate and/or zirconate and (ii) a metal carboxylate salt which cures to a silicone elastomer which may be used as a clear sealant which avoids discolouration and loss of adhesion upon aging.

A one-part low modulus room temperature vulcanisable (RTV) silicone composition containing a catalyst comprising (i) a titanate and/or zirconate and (ii) a metal carboxylate salt which cures to a low modulus silicone elastomer which may be used as a non-staining (clean) sealant having high movement capability.

A one-part low modulus room temperature vulcanisable (RTV) silicone composition containing a catalyst comprising (i) a titanate and/or zirconate and (ii) a metal carboxylate salt which cures to a low modulus silicone elastomer which may be used as a non-staining (clean) sealant having high movement capability.
Curable composition
A curable composition including a perfluoro(poly)ether group-containing silane compound having two or more Si atoms each bonding to at least one of a hydroxyl and hydrolyzable group, and a perfluoro(poly)ether group represented by: —(OC.sub.6F.sub.12).sub.a—(OC.sub.5F.sub.10).sub.b—(OC.sub.4F.sub.8).sub.c—(OC.sub.3X.sup.10.sub.6).sub.d—(OC.sub.2F.sub.4).sub.e—(OCF.sub.2).sub.f—, wherein a, b, c and d are each independently an integer of 0 to 30, e and f are each independently an integer of 1 to 200, the sum of a, b, c, d, e and f is at least 5, the occurrence order of respective repeating units with the subscript a, b, c, d, e or f is not limited, a ratio of e to f is less than 1.0, and each X.sup.10 is independently a hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine atom; an organosilicon compound having at least two —O—R.sup.g3(s) each bonding to a Si atom, wherein each R.sup.g3 is independently a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group; and a catalyst.
Curable composition
A curable composition including a perfluoro(poly)ether group-containing silane compound having two or more Si atoms each bonding to at least one of a hydroxyl and hydrolyzable group, and a perfluoro(poly)ether group represented by: —(OC.sub.6F.sub.12).sub.a—(OC.sub.5F.sub.10).sub.b—(OC.sub.4F.sub.8).sub.c—(OC.sub.3X.sup.10.sub.6).sub.d—(OC.sub.2F.sub.4).sub.e—(OCF.sub.2).sub.f—, wherein a, b, c and d are each independently an integer of 0 to 30, e and f are each independently an integer of 1 to 200, the sum of a, b, c, d, e and f is at least 5, the occurrence order of respective repeating units with the subscript a, b, c, d, e or f is not limited, a ratio of e to f is less than 1.0, and each X.sup.10 is independently a hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine atom; an organosilicon compound having at least two —O—R.sup.g3(s) each bonding to a Si atom, wherein each R.sup.g3 is independently a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group; and a catalyst.
