Low-water-vapor-permeability polyolefin-elastomer film and method for preparing the same
The present disclosure discloses a low-water-vapor-permeability polyolefin-elastomer film and its preparation method. The film comprises: 50-100 mass parts of a matrix resin, 0-40 mass parts of a modified resin, 0.001-2 mass parts of an activator, 0.1-3 mass parts of an organic peroxide, 0.02-5 mass parts of an assistant cross-linker, 0.02-2 mass parts of a silane coupling agent, 0.005-2 mass parts of a light stabilizer, and 0-20 mass parts of a water blocking filler. In the present disclosure, by adding the modified resin and the activator that have an active group, a cross-linking degree and a cross-linking density of the film are improved, and a water-vapor permeability is reduced; by adding the water blocking filler, the water blocking property of the film is further improved, thereby ensuring reliability of the assembly, and prolonging service life of the assembly.

Emergency Ultrasound Gel
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an ultrasound gel that can be applied directly to wounds for emergency personnel in the field or in the Emergency Department. The problems is that one does not want to contaminate a wound with normal ultrasound gel and sterile ultrasound gel may take extra time to apply and cause irritation or sensitization to an open wound. This ultrasound gel is designed to be applied to open contaminated wounds by medical personnel for diagnostic evaluation of trauma, critical care, or emergency patients.
Method of preparing plant-based functional polyester filament
A plant-based functional polyester filament and a preparation method of the plant-based functional polyester filament are provided. The plant-based functional polyester filament includes polyester, and plant extract in a weight percentage range of approximately 0.1%-1.5%. The plant extract includes one or more of a peppermint extract, a valerian extract, a lavender extract, a wormwood extract, a chitin extract and a seaweed extract. The method includes preparing a plant-based functional polyester masterbatch, including: heating polyethylene terephthalate (PET) chips to a molten state, adding an antioxidant and a dispersant to the molten PET, stirring the molten PET, adding a protective agent and a plant extract to the molten PET, stirring the molten PET at a high speed, adding a modifier to the molten PET, obtaining a mixture by uniformly mixing the molten PET, and performing an extrusion granulation process on the mixture.
Biologically active polymers prepared via reactive extrusion
Disclosed herein are methods of making active, food-grade packaging resins using a reactive extrusion step that involves reacting a polymeric material with a ligand and one of a cross-linking agent and a radical initiator in an extruder, under temperature and pressure conditions effective to cause covalent binding of the ligand to the polymeric material by a linker that is the reaction product of the cross-linking agent or by direct bond formation between the ligand and the polymeric material, and then extruding the active, food-grade packaging resin. Also disclosed are the active packaging resins obtained from such methods, methods of forming food packaging materials from the active packaging resins, the food packaging materials that contain the active packaging resins, and methods of packaging perishable food in those food packaging materials.
