IONIC LIQUID FOR STABILIZING VISCOSITY OF SILICATE-BASED COATINGS
The presently claimed invention relates to the use of ionic liquids for stabilizing the viscosity of an aqueous silicate-based coating composition and a method for stabilizing the composition thereof. The presently claimed invention is also directed to an aqueous composition comprising ionic liquids.
Composition and flame-retardant resin composition
Disclosed is a composition that can impart a drip preventing effect together with an excellent heat release suppressing effect to a resin, and that enables the resin to exhibit an excellent color tone, by being mixed with the resin. The composition includes a component (A) and/or a component (B), and a component (C). It is preferable that the composition contains the component (C) in an amount of 0.1 to 50 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of a total of the components (A) and (B). The component (A) is a (poly)phosphate compound represented by General Formula (1). ##STR00001## The component (B) is a (poly)phosphate compound represented by General Formula (3). ##STR00002## The component (C) is a hydrous magnesium silicate.
Flame-retardant polyamide compositions with a high glow wire ignition temperature and use thereof
A flame-retardant polyamide composition can be prepared with a glow wire ignition temperature of not less than 775° C. Such a composition can include a polyamide having a melting point of not more than 290° C. as component A, fillers and/or reinforcers as component B, a phosphinic salt of the formula (I) as component C, a compound selected from the group of the Al, Fe, TiO.sub.p and Zn salts of ethylbutylphosphinic acid, of dibutylphosphinic acid, of ethylhexylphosphinic acid, of butylhexylphosphinic acid and/or of dihexylphosphinic acid as component D, a phosphonic salt of the formula (II) as component E, and a melamine polyphosphate having an average degree of condensation of 2 to 200 as component F. Additional components can be included in the composition.
Ionic polymer compositions
A dielectric polymeric composition comprising a polymeric matrix comprising structural units derived from a polymerizable vinyl monomer; an ionic liquid comprising an organic cation and a balancing anion, wherein the ionic liquid is miscible or partially miscible with the polymerizable vinyl monomer, and wherein the concentration of ionic liquid in dielectric polymeric composition ranges from 0.5 to 30 wt. %; and less than 10 ppm of unreacted polymerizable vinyl monomer, based on the total weight of the composition, wherein an amount of unreacted polymerizable vinyl monomer in the composition is measured via HPLC. The polymeric matrix further comprises structural units derived from a polymerizable co-monomer comprising a functional group that has the ability to form hydrogen bonds within the polymeric matrix. The polymeric matrix further comprises a crosslinking agent, and wherein the polymeric matrix comprises covalent crosslinks between the crosslinking agent and the structural units derived from the polymerizable vinyl monomer.

A dielectric polymeric composition comprising a polymeric matrix comprising structural units derived from a polymerizable vinyl monomer; an ionic liquid comprising an organic cation and a balancing anion, wherein the ionic liquid is miscible or partially miscible with the polymerizable vinyl monomer, and wherein the concentration of ionic liquid in dielectric polymeric composition ranges from 0.5 to 30 wt. %; and less than 10 ppm of unreacted polymerizable vinyl monomer, based on the total weight of the composition, wherein an amount of unreacted polymerizable vinyl monomer in the composition is measured via HPLC. The polymeric matrix further comprises structural units derived from a polymerizable co-monomer comprising a functional group that has the ability to form hydrogen bonds within the polymeric matrix. The polymeric matrix further comprises a crosslinking agent, and wherein the polymeric matrix comprises covalent crosslinks between the crosslinking agent and the structural units derived from the polymerizable vinyl monomer.
Thermoplastic Resin Composition and Molded Article Manufactured Therefrom
A thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention is characterized by comprising: about 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin including one or more of a polypropylene resin and an ethylene-propylene block copolymer; about 10 parts by weight to about 60 parts by weight of a phosphorus nitrogen-based flame retardant; about 0.05 parts by weight to about 10 parts by weight of a maleic anhydride-modified olefin-based polymer; and about 5 parts by weight to about 40 parts by weight of talc having a calcium content of about 0.1% by weight or less. The thermoplastic resin composition has excellent flame retardancy, impact resistance, rigidity, molding processability, etc.

A thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention is characterized by comprising: about 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin including one or more of a polypropylene resin and an ethylene-propylene block copolymer; about 10 parts by weight to about 60 parts by weight of a phosphorus nitrogen-based flame retardant; about 0.05 parts by weight to about 10 parts by weight of a maleic anhydride-modified olefin-based polymer; and about 5 parts by weight to about 40 parts by weight of talc having a calcium content of about 0.1% by weight or less. The thermoplastic resin composition has excellent flame retardancy, impact resistance, rigidity, molding processability, etc.

The present disclosure relates to a thin glass layer-laminated printed steel sheet having a clearly visible pattern printed on a printed steel sheet and has excellent flame retardancy, and a method for manufacturing the same. Specifically, the present disclosure provides a thin glass layer-laminated printed steel sheet comprising: a printed steel sheet comprising a metal sheet and a printed layer on which a design or pattern having a resolution of 300 dpi or higher is printed, the printed layer being formed on a surface of the metal sheet; a transparent ultraviolet-curable adhesive layer comprising a flame retardant material and having a thickness of 10 to 100 μm, the adhesive layer being formed on the printed steel sheet; and thin glass layer attached by the adhesive layer, and a method for manufacturing the same.

A weather-resistant flame-retardant resin composition includes: a polyolefin resin; a mixture of (poly) phosphate compounds, a total content of which is from 10 to 50 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin resin; 0.1 to 10 parts by mass a non-crosslinked silicone raw rubber having a number-average molecular weight of 10,000 to 1,000,000; and 0.1 to 20 parts by mass of an inorganic UV light shielding agent, and an electric wire and an optical fiber cable whose jacket is formed by the weather-resistant flame-retardant resin.
