METHOD OF PREPARING SILICONE-ACRYLATE HYBRID COMPOSITION AND HYBRID COMPOSITION FORMED THEREBY
A method of preparing a silicone-acrylate hybrid composition is provided. The method comprises irradiating an acrylate composition in the presence of: (i) a silicone article, and/or (ii) a silicone composition; to polymerize the acrylate composition and give the silicone-acrylate hybrid composition. The acrylate composition comprises an acrylate compound and an initiator.
RUBBER TIRE COMPOUND CONTAINING IPN-PROMOTING RESIN
A vulcanizable rubber composition comprises an interpenetrating or ionic network (IPN)-promoting resin. The resin comprises side chain functional groups along the resin backbone, which, in the presence of an additive material, form the connections that make up the IPN. In one embodiment, such material is ZnO. A method for forming the rubber composition comprises, in a productive step, mixing the product of the non-productive step, the zinc oxide, and a resin derived from maleic anhydride. The zinc oxide and the resin are simultaneously added to the composition during the productive mixing stage. The rubber composition can be cured and incorporated in a tire component, such as, a tread.
OPTICAL STACK COMPRISING ADHESIVE
Presently described are optical stacks comprising a first optical film comprising a plurality of structures comprising an optically active portion designed primarily to provide optical gain and optionally an optically in-active bonding portion disposed on a first surface bonded to a second optical film with a light-transmissive adhesive layer such that a portion of the structures penetrate the adhesive layer and a separation is provided between the adhesive layer and the first surface. In one embodiment, the optical stacks exhibit a combination of high peel strength and high retained brightness, particularly after aging. The adhesive layer preferably comprises an interpenetrating network of the reaction product of a polyacrylate component and a polymerizable monomer and the adhesive layer has an elastic modulus ranging from 100 to 2000 MPa at 25° C.

To provide a decorative film whereby cracking is suppressed when the decorative film is adhered to a three-dimensional molded product while it is being stretched or in a stretched state. To further provide a composition, a method for producing the decorative film, and a method for producing a three-dimensional molded product provided with the decorative film. The decorative film has at least a base film and a fluororesin layer containing a fluororesin having a crosslinked structure, characterized in that the fluororesin layer contains a urethane bond and an allophanate bond, and the average molecular weight between crosslinking-points of the fluororesin layer is more than 50,000 and at most 100,000.
Ethylene interpolymer products and films
This disclosure relates to ethylene interpolymer compositions and films prepared therefrom. Specifically: ethylene interpolymer products having: a dimensionless nonlinear rheology network parameter, Δ.sub.int., greater than or equal to 0.01, satisfying 0.01×(Z−50).sup.0.78≤Δ.sub.int.≤0.01×(Z−60).sup.0.78 inequality wherein Z is a normalized molecular weight defined by
where M.sub.w and M.sub.e are the weight average and entanglement molecular weights, and; a residual catalytic metal of from ≥0.03 to ≤5 ppm of hafnium. The disclosed ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.3 to about 500 dg/minute, a density from about 0.855 to about 0.975 g/cc, a polydispersity,
from about 1.7 to about 25 and a Composition Distribution Breadth Index (CDBI.sub.50) from about 1% to about 98%.
Water-responsive interpenetrating polymer network, preparation method and use thereof
A water-responsive interpenetrating polymer network, a preparation method and use thereof are provided. The water-responsive interpenetrating polymer network comprises an interpenetrating polymer network formed by a cholesteric liquid crystal polymer and a polyionic liquid; wherein the cholesteric liquid crystal polymer is formed by polymerization of a liquid crystal mixture; and the polyionic liquid contains a hydrophilic group or is a hydrophilic salt. The interpenetrating polymer network is water responsive without needs of activation with an alkaline solution, which simplifies the preparation process, and has stable water responsiveness performance after prolonged and/or repeated exposure to water. The water-responsive interpenetrating polymer network can be used to prepare light reflective coatings and reflective devices, and has higher commercial value.
NETWORK TOUGHENING OF ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED, HIGH GLASS TRANSITION TEMPERATURE MATERIALS VIA SEQUENTIALLY CURED, INTERPENETRATING POLYMERS
Resins and formulations of individual monomers bearing both vinyl ester and epoxy functionality were either synthesized or formulated such that vinyl ester components capable of polymerizing by photo-induced, free radical polymerization were mixed with step-growth epoxy-amine systems, facilitating sequential cure. The vinyl ester component was photopolymerized using vat photopolymerization (VPP). Additionally, the preparation of bio-based photo curable thermosetting resins that have tailorable thermal and mechanical properties is provided. All monomers and polymers described herein are useful in a variety of applications, including additive manufacturing applications.

THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION, METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME, AND MOLDED ARTICLE MANUFACTURED USING THE SAME
Disclosed are a thermoplastic resin composition, a method of preparing the same, and a molded article manufactured using the same. The thermoplastic resin composition includes 3 to 22% by weight of a graft copolymer (A-1) including an acrylate-based rubber having an average particle diameter of 200 to 400 nm, an aromatic vinyl compound, and a vinyl cyanide compound; 17 to 40% by weight of a graft copolymer (A-2) including an acrylate-based rubber having an average particle diameter of 50 to 199 nm, an aromatic vinyl compound, and a vinyl cyanide compound; 30 to 57% by weight of a copolymer (B) including a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester compound, an α-methyl styrene-based compound, and a vinyl cyanide compound; and 6 to 30% by weight of a polymethacrylate resin (C) (except for α-methyl styrene), wherein an average multi-axial impact strength is 22 J/mm or more.
