LAMINATE BASED ON SILICONE RUBBER COMPOSITIONS
The invention relates to a laminate comprising a first layer and a second layer directly covering the first layer, the first layer being a layer of a silicone rubber composition comprising a micrometric silicone powder and a mixture of crosslinkable organopolysiloxanes, the second layer being a layer of a silicone rubber composition comprising a hydrophobic silica and a mixture of crosslinkable organopolysiloxanes, the first layer and the second layer being crosslinked. The laminate, in particular when it is used as a coating for the outer surface of an expandable bladder for a tyre curing mould, makes it possible to eliminate moulding defects on the inner liner of the tyre.

A composite powder includes a core particle comprising a styrene/acrylate polymer resin, and a shell comprising a styrene/acrylate ionomer resin, wherein the styrene/acrylate ionomer resin comprises a metal ion acrylate monomer, and methods of making thereof. Various articles can be manufactured from such composite powders.
Dimensionally stable acrylic alloy for 3-D printing
The invention relates to an acrylic alloy composition that can be 3-D printed by a material extrusion additive manufacturing process, to an acrylic filament that has a very uniform diameter useful in the extrusion additive manufacturing process, to acrylic articles made from the acrylic alloy composition by a material extrusion additive process, and to a material extrusion additive manufacturing process for producing the acrylic articles. The acrylic alloy composition is an alloy of an acrylic polymer, and a low melt viscosity polymer, such as polylactic acid. The alloy may optionally be impact modified, preferably with hard core core-shell impact modifiers.

Method and systems for transporting bitumen in solidified form
Historically, bitumen from oil sands has been carried over land using trucks, pipelines, or by rail, and over water using tankers. Each mode of transportation faces economic or technical challenges of its own. Here there is provided a method for transporting bitumen, comprising: receiving in a dry bulk shipping container a load of discrete pellets with bitumen entrapped into the pellets, wherein the pellets have non-stick outer surfaces configured to prevent the bitumen from sticking to walls of the container when the pellets are carried in the container; and transporting the dry bulk shipping container containing the pellets over a distance. Alternatively or additionally, the pellets may have non-stick outer surfaces configured to prevent the load from caking when the pellets are carried in the container such that the load of bitumen pellets is substantially free-flowing when the transporting is completed.
Hardenable multi-part acrylic composition
The invention relates to a hardenable multi-part acrylic composition. The composition has at least two parts which react with each other upon being mixed together to progressively harden to form a solid cement, such as a bone cement. The beads in the first part comprise an acrylic bead polymer core produced by suspension polymerisation and having a Tg of >70° C. and emulsion polymerised acrylic microparticles at least partially coating the surface of the acrylic bead polymer core. The microparticles may form a porous coalesced network. The bone cement composition comprises the first part and a liquid second part and optionally, further parts. The parts are operable to form a cement which hardens to a solid mass upon mixing of the parts together. The composition further comprises an acrylic monomer component in the second part and an initiator component. A method of production of coated beads for the hardenable multipart composition and a solid cement is also described.
