Degradable EVOH high-barrier composite film
A degradable EVOH high-barrier composite film, characterized in that the materials of various layers in the composite film all obtain approximately-consistent biodegradability by introducing biomass, and the additive amount of the additive master batch in the materials of each layer is controlled within the range of 0.3-15% of the total mass of the materials of the corresponding layer; the hydrophilic activity of the hydrophilic groups in the additive master batch should be greater than or equal to that of the hydrophilic groups in the materials of each layer; by adding the additive master batch, the mole ratios of the hydrophilic groups to carbon atoms of the materials of various layers tend to be consistent, namely, the bioactivities tend to be consistent, so that the degradation rates of the materials of various layers in the composite film tend to be consistent. The present invention makes contribution to obtaining approximately-consistent bioactivities and approximately-consistent biodegradation rates by balancing the mole ratios of the hydrophilic groups to carbon atoms in the materials of various layers, and the appearance, the functions and the physical and mechanical properties of a product remain unchanged.

POLYETHYLENE COPOLYMER BLEND
A polyethylene copolymer blend consisting essentially of (A) an ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester bipolymer and (B) an ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester/carbon monoxide terpolymer. The polyethylene copolymer blend is defined by constituents (A) and (B) and at least one omitted material that would have otherwise restricted a physical property of the blend. The (A) ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester bipolymer is defined by features comprising choice of unsaturated carboxylic ester, unsaturated carboxylic ester comonomeric content in weight percent (wt %), and bipolymer melt index (I.sub.2; 190° C., 2.16 kg) in grams per 10 minutes (g/10 min.). The (B) ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic ester/carbon monoxide terpolymer is defined by features comprising choice of unsaturated carboxylic ester, unsaturated carboxylic ester comonomeric content in wt %, carbon monoxide comonomeric content in wt %, and terpolymer melt index (I.sub.2; 190° C., 2.16 kg) in g/10 min. Also formulations, cured polymer products, strippable semiconductive insulation shield layers, coated conductors, methods of making and using same.
Gas-soluble nanovoided polymers
An actuator includes a primary electrode, a secondary electrode overlapping at least a portion of the primary electrode, a nanovoided polymer layer disposed between and abutting the primary electrode and the secondary electrode, the nanovoided polymer layer having a plurality of nanovoids dispersed throughout a polymer matrix, and a sealing layer at least partially encapsulating the nanovoided polymer layer, where the nanovoids include a fill gas.
ASSOCIATIVE RHEOLOGY MODIFIER COMPOSITION AND METHODS FOR MAKING THEREOF
An associative rheology modifier is obtained by coupling of a rheology modifier precursor with a coupling agent. The rheology modifier precursor is formed by reacting a rosin acid with a polyether at a mole ratio of the rosin acid to the polyether of >2:1, at a temperature from 180-350° C. and in the presence of an acid catalyst. The polyether has a molecular weight of 500-10,000 g/mol and the rheology modifier precursor has a water solubility of >10 wt. % concentration. The associative rheology modifier has a molecular weight (Mw) from 1500-25,000 g/mol. The associative rheology modifier shows a high shear thinning effect at low shear rate. A composition is also provided comprising the associative rheology modifier.
