Processes for producing the cellulose ester compositions as well as articles made using these compositions are also provided.

There is provided cured coating compositions derived from a one-part, moisture curable composition comprising (a) a polyoxyalkylene polymer having at least one end group derived from an alkoxy silane, and (b) a plasticizer selected from at least one of linear or branched alkyl benzoate having between 8 and 14 carbon atoms in the alkyl chain, and combinations thereof; where the cured coating composition passes ASTM D-1970. There are also provided articles and films made using and methods for using these cured coating compositions.

Plasticizer composition for a construction polymers. The plasticizer composition includes 35-65% (by weight) of polyvinylbutyral and 65-35% (by weight) of one or more alloying copolymers. The construction polymer is e.g. polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, poly urethane, acryl butadiene styrene or polyethylene and/or mixtures thereof. The resulting polymer construction polymer constitutes 25-90% by weight and the plasticizer composition constitutes 10-75% by weight of the polymer blend composition. The components of the plasticizer composition are non-migrating and provide surprising physical properties of the final polymer composition.

Improved casein-based films are produced by adjusting the pH of a film-production suspension. The film-production suspension may contain a casein source, a plasticizer, and optionally a strengthening additive. The adjustment of the pH may be accomplished by the addition of an alkaline additive, such as a base, to achieve a desired pH value. The improved casein-based films have improved physical properties as compared to those produced without a pH-adjusted film-production suspension at least in part due to the chemical and structural changes imparted by the change in pH.
