A laundry care composition including (a) at least one laundry care ingredient and (b) a leuco composition. The leuco composition has a first color state and a second color state and the mole ratio of second color state to first color state is from 2:98 to 5:95. Also disclosed are methods of determining the approximate functional age of a laundry care composition comprising the steps of (a) providing a laundry care composition that includes at least one laundry care ingredient and a leuco composition, (b) providing a functional age scale that includes a plurality of distinct colors that correspond to a unique functional age and (c) comparing the color of the laundry care composition with the functional age scale.

A leuco composition comprises at least one reactive leuco compound, which reactive leuco compound comprises a leuco moiety and at least one reactive moiety covalently bound to the leuco moiety. A laundry care composition comprises a laundry care ingredient and a leuco composition. A method of treating a textile comprises the steps of (i) treating a textile with an aqueous solution containing a leuco composition, (ii) optionally, rinsing the textile, and (iii) drying the textile.

A method for treating textile articles including the steps of: (a) providing a laundry care composition comprising a leuco composition; (b) adding the laundry care composition to a liquid medium; (c) placing the textile articles in contact with the liquid medium; (d) depositing at least some portion of the leuco composition onto the textile articles; (e) optionally, rinsing the textile; and (f) drying the textile articles, wherein the leuco composition comprises a leuco colorant with a Photoresistance Index of less than or equal to 30.

A liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel that includes red color filters, green color filters, and blue color filters; and an illumination device that illuminates the liquid crystal display panel with white light. The illumination device includes light-emitting elements that emit blue light, a green phosphor that absorbs a portion of the blue light emitted from the light-emitting elements and then emits green light, and a red phosphor that absorbs a portion of the blue light emitted from the light-emitting elements and then emits red light. The blue color filters are made of a colored material that contains a dye, and the chromaticity values x and y of the white light emitted from the illumination device satisfy the relationships 0.24<x and 0.24<y.

A liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel that includes red color filters, green color filters, and blue color filters; and an illumination device that illuminates the liquid crystal display panel with white light. The illumination device includes light-emitting elements that emit blue light, a green phosphor that absorbs a portion of the blue light emitted from the light-emitting elements and then emits green light, and a red phosphor that absorbs a portion of the blue light emitted from the light-emitting elements and then emits red light. The blue color filters are made of a colored material that contains a dye, and the chromaticity values x and y of the white light emitted from the illumination device satisfy the relationships 0.24<x and 0.24<y.
