Fluorescent acridinium salts, synthesis thereof and use for detection of cardiolipin
The present invention relates to a novel substituted acridinium salts as fluorescent dyes, as well as methods of their manufacturing and use of the disclosed compounds for the detection of cardiolipin.
Silicon containing detectable compounds
Disclosed herein, inter alia, are silicon containing detectable compounds and methods of use thereof.
Transformation of data to non-binary data for storage in non-volatile memories
A data storage system and method are provided for storing data in non-volatile memory devices. Binary data is received for storage in a non-volatile memory device. The binary data is converted into non-binary data comprising base-X values, where X is an integer greater than two. The non-binary data is encoded to generate a codeword and the codeword is written to a wordline of the non-volatile memory device.
NEAR-INFRARED FLUORESCENT CONTRAST BIOIMAGING AGENTS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The instant invention provides near-infrared fluorescent biological contrast agents and methods of using them.
Dyes, dye-sensitized solar cells, and methods of making and using the same
Provided herein are dyes, dye-sensitized solar cells, and sequential series multijunction dye-sensitized solar cell devices. The dyes include an electron deficient acceptor moiety, a medium electron density ?-bridge moiety, and an electron rich donor moiety comprising a biaryl, a substituted biaryl, or an R1, R2, R3 substituted phenyl where each of R1, R2, and R3 independently comprises H, aryl, multiaryl, alkyl substituted aryl, alkoxy substituted aryl, alkyl substituted multiaryl, alkoxy substituted multiaryl, OR4, N(R5)2, or a combination thereof; each R4 independently comprises H, alkyl, aryl, alkyl substituted aryl, alkoxy substituted aryl, or a combination thereof; and each R5 independently comprises aryl, multiaryl, alkyl substituted aryl, alkoxy substituted aryl, alkyl substituted multiaryl, alkoxy substituted multiaryl, or a combination thereof. The solar cells include a glass substrate, a dye-sensitized active layer, and a redox shuttle. The devices include at least two dye-sensitized solar cells connected in series. ##STR00001##
Pigments for electrophoretic displays
A polysiloxane-substituted quinacridone pigment is produced by a quinacridone pigment with an epoxy-terminated polysiloxane under conditions effective to cause the epoxy group on the polysiloxane to react with, and bond the polysiloxane to, the quinacridone pigment. The quinacridone pigment thus produced has the polysiloxane grouping bonded to one of the quinacridone nitrogen atoms via a hydrocarbon linking group, which bears a hydroxyl group on a carbon atom α or β to the quinacridone nitrogen atom. These quinacridone pigments are useful in electrophoretic displays.
FLUORESCENT SILICA NANOPARTICLES AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FLUORESCENT SILICA NANOPARTICLES
The present invention relates to providing fluorescent silica nanoparticles having high luminance even when many fluorescent dyes are contained in silica particles. Fluorescent silica nanoparticles according to the present invention is fluorescent silica nanoparticles including silica nanoparticles and fluorescent dyes contained in the silica nanoparticles, in which a total volume of the fluorescent dyes is 5% or more with respect to a total volume of the fluorescent silica nanoparticles, and an emission quantum yield of the fluorescent silica nanoparticles is 10% or more.
CONJUGATE OF PHTHALOCYANINE DYE AND ANTIBODY OR PEPTIDE
