PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION OF ELECTRON BEAM CURABLE PAINT AND ELECTRON BEAM CURABLE COATING
An electron beam curable paint comprises: a dispersion solution of inorganic nanomaterial, a dispersion solution of inorganic nanoultraviolet absorbent, a polyfunctional monomer and an acrylate prepolymer, wherein the dispersion solution of the inorganic nanomaterial is selected from one or two of a dispersion solution of silicon dioxide and a dispersion solution of aluminum oxide, and the dispersion solution of the inorganic ultraviolet absorbent is a dispersion solution of titanium dioxide or a dispersion solution of zinc oxide. The silicon dioxide, the aluminum oxide, the titanium dioxide and the zinc oxide are respectively surface modified and are dissolved in acrylate monomer to form the dispersion solution of the inorganic material without agglomeration.
AQUEOUS CORROSION RESISTANT COATINGS WITH SURFACE-HYDROPHOBIC INORGANIC PARTICLES
Aqueous coating compositions providing enhanced anticorrosive and water-resistant properties. The anticorrosive coating comprises water borne resin, surface-hydrophobic inorganic pigments, and/or surface-hydrophobic inorganic extenders.
ALUMINUM-BASED COUPLING AGENTS
Compositions comprising Group 13 element-based coupling agents and/or aluminum-based substrates and methods for making such compositions are provided. Compositions herein further comprise an inorganic substrate, a functionalized polymer, or a combination thereof. Such compositions may further comprise a secondary coupling agent having two or more functional groups. Compositions comprising a particulate inorganic substrate dispersed in a polymer form composite materials having improved mechanical properties. Compositions comprising a monolithic inorganic substrate having at least one surface bonded to a polymer layer form articles having improved surface properties.
Particulate filler, preparation and use thereof
The present invention relates to a particulate filler which has a coating on support particles in each case surrounding the latter, which comprises a titanium dioxide doped with niobium and at least one further element, to a process for the preparation of a particulate filler of this type and to the use thereof, in particular as varistor filler having nonlinear electrical properties in coating compositions and moulding compounds.
Carbon-coated particles
Core particles produced in situ or introduced as preformed core particles are coated with a layer of carbon. Non-carbon as well as some carbon-based core materials can be utilized. The resulting carbon coated particles can find applications in rubber products, for instance as reinforcement for tire components.
Dispersion liquid, composition, sealing member, light-emitting device, illumination tool, display device, and method for producing light-emitting device
Provided is a dispersion liquid for sealing a light-emitting element containing metal oxide particles having a refractive index of 1.7 or higher and a surface-modifying material at least partially attached to the metal oxide particles, in which a particle diameter D50 of the metal oxide particles when a cumulative percentage of a scattering intensity distribution obtained by a dynamic light scattering method is 50% is 30 nm or more and 100 nm or less, and a content of the surface-modifying material not attached to the metal oxide particles is 60% by mass or less with respect to a total content of the metal oxide particles and the surface-modifying material.
USE OF FLAKE-FORM EFFECT PIGMENTS FOR INCREASING THE INFRARED REFLECTION OF A DARK OR BLACK LAYER COMPOSITE
The present invention relates to the use of flake-form effect pigments for increasing the infrared reflection of a dark or black layer composite, consisting of a substrate and a coating on the substrate, and to a dark or black layer composite of this type which has increased infrared reflection, in particular in the near infrared (NIR), compared with conventional dark or black layer composites which comprise only carbon-containing black pigments.
Porous metal oxide microspheres
Porous metal oxide microspheres are prepared via a process comprising forming a liquid dispersion of polymer nanoparticles and a metal oxide; forming liquid droplets of the dispersion; drying the droplets to provide polymer template microspheres comprising polymer nanospheres; and removing the polymer nanospheres from the template microspheres to provide the porous metal oxide microspheres. The porous microspheres exhibit saturated colors and are suitable as colorants for a variety of end-uses.
COATING OF TEXTILE MATERIALS
The present invention comprises the coating and modification of textile materials in order to provide them with water-repellent properties. The object of the invention was to hydrophobize textiles loaded with metal oxide, wherein the hydrophobing agent presented here is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, adhering to the metal oxide surface considerably more stably and without the use of additional dispersants and binders, which also takes environmental aspects into account. The object is achieved by the use according to the invention of metal oxide particles and/or metal hydroxide particles of group IVB, IIB or IIIA or mixtures thereof, wherein said particles are present in a size range of 110 nm-10 μm, for the coating of textile materials and their treatment after application to the textile with phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester derivatives of the general form OP(OH).sub.2OR or OP(OH).sub.2R, wherein R is a hydrophobic residue in the form of aliphatic, branched or unbranched, alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon groups having 5-40 carbon atoms.
HYDROPHOBICALLY MODIFIED PIGMENT COMPOSITION
The present invention is a composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of metal oxide pigment particles coated with an organosilane polymer comprising structural units of an alkyltrihydroxysilane or a salt thereof, a dialkyldihydroxysilane or a salt thereof, and an ancillary alkylsilane triol. The composition of the present invention provides hydrophobicity to pigment particles, thereby imparting water resistance, and allows for high loadings of pigment in water without increased viscosity. The dispersion is further useful for providing stain and corrosion resistance in coatings arising from paints.
