Provided are an optical film, a circularly polarizing plate, and an image display apparatus in each of which the occurrence of cracks is suppressed in the obtained film in a case of being punched. The optical film includes a stretched resin film and a liquid crystal layer formed by fixing a liquid crystal compound twist-aligned along a helical axis extending along a direction in thickness, in which a δa value calculated using a three-dimensional solubility parameter of a resin in the stretched resin film is 8.0 MPa.sup.1/2 or less, the liquid crystal layer contains a cured substance of a polyfunctional compound having two or more polymerizable groups in one molecule, and an absolute value of a difference between the δa value calculated using the three-dimensional solubility parameter of the polyfunctional compound and the δa value calculated using the three-dimensional solubility parameter of the resin is 4.0 MPa.sup.1/2 or less.

The optical film includes a stretched resin film and a liquid crystal layer formed by fixing a liquid crystal compound twist-aligned along a helical axis extending along a direction in thickness, in which a δa value calculated using a three-dimensional solubility parameter of a resin in the stretched resin film is 8.0 MPa.sup.1/2 or less, the liquid crystal layer contains a cured substance of a polyfunctional compound having two or more polymerizable groups in one molecule, and an absolute value of a difference between the δa value calculated using the three-dimensional solubility parameter of the polyfunctional compound and the δa value calculated using the three-dimensional solubility parameter of the resin is 4.0 MPa.sup.1/2 or less.
Crosslinkable composition without antioxidant and beneficial methane formation with reduced crosslinking
The invention relates to a polymer composition comprising a polyethylene and a crosslinking agent, characterized in that the polymer composition contains a total amount of vinyl groups which is B vinyl groups per 1000 carbon atoms, and B.sub.1≤B, wherein B.sub.1 is 0.88, when measured prior to crosslinking according to method ASTM D6248-98; and in that the crosslinking agent is present in an amount which is Z wt %, based on the total amount (100 wt %) of the polymer composition, and Z≤Z.sub.2, wherein Z.sub.2 is 0.30, an article being e.g. a cable, e.g. a power cable, and processes for producing a polymer composition and an article; useful in different end applications, such as wire and cable (W&C) applications.

An aqueous ionomer dispersion, and method of manufacturing thereof, comprising an ionomer composition and water, wherein the ionomer composition comprises: a) at least 20 wt. %, based on the total weight percent of the ionomer composition, of an ionomer; and b) up to 80 wt. %, based on the total weight percent of the ionomer composition, of a polyolefin.

Broad Orthogonal Distribution Polyethylenes for Films
A polyethylene comprising of ethylene derived units and 0.5 wt % to 10 wt % C.sub.3 to C.sub.12 α-olefin derived units may be synthesized using a mixed catalyst that comprises rac-dimethylsilylbis(tetrahydroindenyl)zirconium dichloride and a zirconium co-catalyst in a mole ratio of 50:50 to 90:10, and wherein the zirconium co-catalyst is a poor comonomer incorporator as compared to the rac-dimethylsilylbis(tetrahydroindenyl)zirconium dichloride catalyst. Such a polyethylene may have a density of 0.91 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.93 g/cm.sup.3, an I.sub.2 value of 0.5 g/10 min to 2 g/10 min, an I.sub.21 value of 25 g/10 min to 75 g/10 min, an I.sub.21/I.sub.2 ratio of 25 to 75, a molar reversed-co-monomer index (RCI,m) of 30 to 180, a phase angle equal or lower than 70° at complex modulus G* of 10,000 Pa, a Θ.sub.2 of 1.5 radians to −1.5 radians, and a low density population of 50% and 70% by weight of the polyethylene.

Application of amine functionalized organo silane fatty acid combo system as corrosion inhibitors in the clear emissive permanent coatings on aluminum/zinc alloy
Disclosed is a composition for applying a clear or translucent emissive coating on an aluminum containing surface. The composition includes, in a dispersion, 50 to 300 g/l of at least one of clear or translucent organic polymeric substances of a binder, and 30 to 300 g/l of sheet silicate pigments having a TE value for the thermal emissivity of at least 0.40, having a particle size distribution of which d.sub.50 is in the range of 0.3 to 80 μm and having been comminuted, disintegrated, exfoliated or any combination of these to thin particles. The composition additionally includes the reaction product of at least one aminefunctionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof and at least one fatty acid. The molar ratio of the amino group/s of the at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof and of the at least one fatty acid is 1.2:1 to 1:2.
