MOLDED PRODUCT WITH CONNECTION ELEMENT
The invention relates to a molded product made of fiber material with a connection element (11). In order to achieve a particularly firm anchoring of the connection element (11) in the fiber material of the molded product, the connection element (11) has a connecting wall (17) with holes (18) through which the fiber material of the molded product projects.
TUNABLE ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
Disclosed are non-toxic adhesive compositions that are tunable for selective adhesion to an intended substrate under any number of conditions, including a fouled substrate. Methods of making and methods of using are also described.

Method for coating surfaces by enzymatic reaction
The invention relates to a method for coating surfaces by enzymatic reaction of a biopolymer, wherein the method comprises the following steps: a) applying an enzyme to the surface of a substrate, and b) contacting the enzyme with the biopolymer to be deposited, wherein the enzyme cleaves the biopolymer, wherein the cleavage gives rise to at least two cleavage products of the biopolymer having different solubility in a solvent, and at least one cleavage product of the biopolymer having relatively low solubility is deposited on the surface of the substrate, and to a coated article obtainable by the method and to a coating composition comprising a biopolymer and at least one component selected from the group comprising binders, fillers, pigments and/or additives, and optionally a solvent.
Biodegradable fire resistant foam
The instant invention is a fire protectant composition comprising water, a surfactant, a water-soluble polymer, casein, and a calcium salt. The compositions can be applied to materials such as wood in advance of a fire, and after application, the compositions are capable of retaining their fire protectant capacities for days, weeks or even months. This fire protectant composition is also biodegradable and nontoxic. It is also easily removed from the combustible material by a water wash once the fire danger is passes. If burned, the composition forms a skin which can be peeled off or removed by some other method such as pressure water spray or mechanical brushing.
Coating compositions
A coating composition includes pigments or a mixture of pigments, a surface active substance and a metal containing polymeric complex. The metal containing polymeric complex contains a metallic salt, a polymeric latex and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), wherein the polyvinyl alcohol has a molecular weight ranging from about 10,000 to about 65,000.
