A multicolor dispersion comprising a protective composition and two or more colorant dispersions, wherein the protective composition comprises (1) an aqueous dispersion of polymer particles comprising from 89% to 99.45% by weight, based on the total dry weight of the protective composition, of polymer particles, wherein said aqueous dispersion of polymer particles further comprises from 0.33% to 2% by weight, based on the total dry weight of the polymer, of an anionic stabilizer monomer represented by the following Formula I, ##STR00001##

Aqueous Polycarboxylic Acid Containing Coating Composition with Improved Leveling Properties
Disclosed herein is an aqueous coating composition including an anionically stabilized binder,a color pigment, a polycarboxylic acid, and optionally a solvent. Further disclosed is a method for producing an inventive aqueous coating composition by adding a solution of polycarboxylic acid in a solvent to a coating composition including an anionically stabilized binder and color pigment.Additionally disclosed is a method for producing a multicoat paint system by producing a basecoat layer or at least two directly consecutive basecoat layers directly on a substrate optionally coated with a first coating layer, producing a clearcoat layer directly on the basecoat layer or the topmost basecoat layer, and jointly curing the basecoat layer(s) and the clearcoat layer. At least one of the basecoat materials includes the aqueous coating composition disclosed herein and/or an aqueous coating prepared by the disclosed method. A multicoat paint system obtainable by the method is additionally disclosed.

A flower pot includes a main body having an external surface and a faux-rust effect layer formed on the external surface of the main body. The faux-rust effect layer includes 5.8 to 20 parts by weight of water, 0.21 to 4.7 parts by weight of additives, 0.1 to 1 parts by weight of dispersant, 0.05 to 0.5 parts by weight of lubricant, 0.2 to 2 parts by weight of ethylene glycol, 0.5 to 2 parts by weights of dodecyl alcohol ester, 8.2 to 25 parts by weight of emulsion agent, 40 to 60 parts by weight of ferrous metal ore powder, 0.1 to 0.9 parts by weight of thickener, 0.1 to 0.2 parts by weight of sterilizing agent, and 0.05 to 0.1 parts by weight of preservative.
POLYCARBONATE BASED COMPOSITE COATINGS
Two-component polycarbonate-based composite products are contemplated in which the composite is formed as the cured reaction product of a polycarbonate polyurethane dispersed within an aqueous colloid along with a coalescent agent, a secondary polymer additive dispersed within the aqueous colloid, and a secondary polymer crosslinker. The aqueous colloidal dispersion may be applied as a coating to a surface that is intended to be coated and subsequently permitted to react and dry, resulting in the formation of a coating at the location at which it is applied. The composite product may be further formulated with additional constituents to be optically clear, glossy, and/or pigmented.

A described preparation method involves curing of the coating using two curing stages performed with different oxygen levels.

The present invention provides a biodegradable formulation and its use as a surfaces restoring agent, said formulation allows a substantial savings when restoring the existing paint on different surfaces, since it mainly cleans and restores the surface or paint contaminated by the environment, damaged due to the sun and the processes of the different industries, in addition to being friendly to the environment, making it a useful technology in any industrial branch that involves cleaning and restoring large areas. It is worth noting that the modifications to the original formula were made to optimize the results in the different applications and improve its biodegradability.
AUTOMOTIVE GRAPHENE SURFACE TREATMENT COMPOSITION AND PROCESS FOR USE THEREOF
A composition is provided that includes a graphene dispersion, a silicone microemulsion, a reactive siloxane emulsion, and water as a majority by weight of the composition. A process for imparting a durable shine to a vehicle surface is also provided. The composition is applied to the vehicle surface. The water is allowed to evaporate from the composition to form a coating imparting a durable shine to the vehicle surface. A coating is obtained after evaporation. The coating includes a silicone film formed by the evaporation of water from a silicone microemulsion and the cross-linking of a siloxane from an emulsion. Graphene particles are embedded in the silicone film. The coating has a thickness of between having a thickness of between 5 and 10,000 nanometers and a hardness of between 3 and 7 GPa.
Ketone-aldehyde modified resin and the preparation process thereof
The present invention discloses a ketone-aldehyde modified resin and the preparation process thereof. The ketone-aldehyde modified resin comprises a ketone-aldehyde modified unsaturated polyester, a ketone-aldehyde modified unsaturated alkyd or the combination thereof, and wherein the said resin has ketone-aldehyde moieties. The process of the said resin comprises the steps of: reacting unsaturated polyester-forming and/or unsaturated alkyd resin-forming monomer components with a ketone-aldehyde resin. The present invention also discloses a coating composition comprising the said resin as well as a coated article. The ketone-aldehyde modified resin and the coating composition achieve significantly improved fast drying effect, while other properties are not observably impaired or even improved.
AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITION, COATED ARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR FORMING MULTILAYER COATING FILM
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an aqueous paint composition that has a relatively high solid content ratio and that is capable of forming a coating film having excellent brilliance. The present invention provides an aqueous paint composition that contains (A) a water-dispersible hydroxy-containing acrylic resin, (B) a flake-effect pigment, and (C) a water-dispersible cellulose-based rheology control agent, wherein the content of the flake-effect pigment (B) is within a range of 1 to 50 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the resin solids content in the aqueous paint composition, and the aqueous paint composition has a solids content of more than 10 mass % and 35 mass % or less.
