Coating composition system, the preparation method, and the use thereof
The present disclosure provides for a coating composition system suitable for forming a stain resistant and soft tactile texture coating onto a variety of substrate materials including plastic materials, metal materials, ceramic materials, and concrete materials. The coating composition system can be cured under mild curing conditions, and provides the resulting coating with excellent properties in terms of adhesion to the substrates, strength, and abrasion resistance. The present disclosure also provides for a method for preparing the coating composition system, and the use thereof.
Durable photopolymerizable cross-linked anti-fouling coatings
Durable, anti-fouling, crosslinked zwitterionic coatings that are grafted to the surface of a substrate through covalent bonding are disclosed. When exposed to a light source, zwitterionic monomers react with a crosslinker and with activated radicals at the surface of the substrate, simultaneously forming the crosslinked zwitterionic coating and anchoring it to the surface of the substrate. Photomasking techniques can be used to micropattern the zwitterionic coatings. The zwitterionic coatings can be applied to a variety of substrates, including medical devices and systems.

(meth)acrylic copolymer, method for producing same, resin composition and antifouling paint composition
A (meth)acrylic copolymer of the present invention includes a constituent unit (B) derived from a polysiloxane block-containing polymerizable monomer (b) represented by Formula (b1). In Formula (b1), R.sup.30 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, a represents an integer of 2 to 5, b represents a number of 0 to 50, c represents an integer of 0 to 18, d represents a number of 1 to 1000, e represents a number of 1 to 80, R.sup.31 to R.sup.39 each represents an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a phenyl group, a substituted phenyl group, a phenoxy group, or a substituted phenoxy group.
OLEOGEL BASED ON FATTY ACID AMIDE-CONTAINING POLYMER AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a fatty acid amide-based oleogel containing polymer and a method for preparing same and, more particularly, to a fatty acid amide-based oleogel containing polymer and a method for preparing same, the oleogel comprising: a substrate formed of a polymer of a fatty acid amide having a single double bond and a silicone polymer, or a composition comprising same; and an oleogel surface formed by impregnating the substrate with oil, wherein, in the silicone polymer, first silyl-terminated polydialkylsiloxane is crosslinked with second vinyl-terminated polydialkylsiloxane, and the fatty acid amide is linked to the first silyl-terminated polydialkylsiloxane. Also, the present invention can provide use of the fatty acid amide-based oleogel containing polymer according to the present invention.
Substrates having superhydrophobic surfaces, methods of producing the same and the use thereof
A substrate having a superhydrophobic surface and methods of manufacturing the same and uses thereof. The substrate comprises a frame of a first material of interconnected structures exhibiting cavities having the shape of inverted pyramids; and a second material comprising hydrophobic structures filling the cavities, wherein the sidewalls of the inverted pyramids form an angle α of 105°<α<135° against the surface. The hydrophobic structures, such as nanoparticles, provide excellent water repellency, whereas the structures formed by a mechanically durable substrate material, typically comprising microstructures, act as armor to resist abrasion. The substrates are robust, durable and abrasion resistant and can be used as surfaces in self-cleaning, anti-fouling or heat transfer materials as well as in transparent surfaces, in particular in solar cells.
FLUORINE-CONTAINING CURABLE COMPOSITION AND ARTICLE
This fluorine-containing curable composition comprises a curable component (A) that provides a cured product under the effect of heat or moisture, and a surface-modifying component (B) that contains a perfluoropolyether compound (b1) having a prescribed structure. The perfluoropolyether compound (b1) in the surface-modifying component (B) is present at 0.005-50 mass parts per 100 mass parts of the curable component (A) excluding volatile components. The fluorine-containing curable composition can be cured by heat or moisture, can be coated on the surface of an article even not containing a fluorine-containing solvent, and can provide the cured product surface with excellent surface characteristics.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTION OF ANALYTES
Embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to a sensor that includes a transduction agent, a plurality of analyte binding agents immobilized on the transduction agent, and a coating agent that forms a coating around at least some of the analyte binding agents. Further embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to methods of detecting one or more analytes in a sample by associating the sample with a sensor of the present disclosure; detecting a signal from the sensor; and correlating the signal to the presence or absence of the one or more analytes in the sample. Additional embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to methods of making the sensors of the present disclosure by immobilizing a plurality of analyte binding agents on a transduction agent; and coating at least some of the analyte binding agents with a coating agent to form a sensor.
Polysiloxane resin composition
A composition which provides a coating film having excellent foul releasing property is disclosed. The composition comprises, based on the solid contents of the composition: (A) 20 to 80 weight % of a resin which has a polydialkylsiloxane unit and an epoxy resin unit within its structure; (B) 0.1 to 5 weight % of an amino silane; (C) 0.5 to 5 weight % of a hydrophilic additive; and (D) 0.1 to 5 weight % of a catalyst. A coating, e.g. a coating film, formed from the composition generally has an amphiphilic surface. Thus, the composition is suitable for coatings which prevent both hydrophobic and hydrophilic fouling.
