ADHESIVE COMPOSITION FOR ORGANIC FIBER CORD, RUBBER-ORGANIC FIBER CORD COMPOSITE, AND TIRE
The present disclosure provides: an adhesive composition capable of realizing good adhesion even when neither resorcin nor formalin is included therein; and a rubber-organic fiber cord composite and a tire, which are excellent in adhesion between rubber and organic fiber cords and make a low impact on the environment. Specifically, the present invention provides an adhesive composition for an organic fiber cord, comprising therein: an epoxy compound (A); a compound (B) having an amide group and an amino group per molecule; and rubber latex (C). Further, the present disclosure provides a rubber-organic fiber cord composite, comprising a rubber member and an organic fiber cord, wherein at least a portion of the organic fiber cord is coated with the adhesive composition described above.
Latex of the highly saturated nitrile rubber and adhesive composition
A latex of a highly saturated nitrile rubber wherein the highly saturated nitrile rubber contains α,β-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer units in a ratio of 10 to 60 wt %, has an iodine value of 120 or less, and has a weight average molecular weight of solubles in chloroform of 100,000 or less, and when removing volatiles contained in the latex and making a film of the highly saturated nitrile rubber, a loss tangent tan δ.sub.(50° C.) at 50° C. of the film is 0.3 to 0.6 and a complex torque S* at the time of 100% shear strain at 100° C. of the film is 20 dNm or less, and an adhesive composition containing the latex are provided.

A latex of a highly saturated nitrile rubber wherein the highly saturated nitrile rubber contains α,β-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer units in a ratio of 10 to 60 wt %, has an iodine value of 120 or less, and has a weight average molecular weight of solubles in chloroform of 100,000 or less, and when removing volatiles contained in the latex and making a film of the highly saturated nitrile rubber, a loss tangent tan δ.sub.(50° C.) at 50° C. of the film is 0.3 to 0.6 and a complex torque S* at the time of 100% shear strain at 100° C. of the film is 20 dNm or less, and an adhesive composition containing the latex are provided.

A latex including: a nitrile rubber containing an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer unit in a content of 8 to 50 wt % and an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid monoester monomer unit in a content of 1 to 10 wt %, and having an iodine value of 120 g/100 g or less; and a benzisothiazoline-based compound represented by the following general formula (1), wherein the content of the benzisothiazoline-based compound is 50 ppm by weight or more, with respect to the nitrile rubber, and a redox potential of the latex is 80 to 800 mV. ##STR00001##
In the general formula (1) mentioned above, R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted organic group, R.sup.2 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted organic group, and “n” represents an integer of 0 to 4.

The present invention is in the field of an improved adhesive composition, use of said composition and products comprising said composition. The adhesive composition may be a one component and a two component adhesive, each component typically comprising various ingredients. The present adhesives are water-based dispersions.
