Disclosed is an aqueous adhesive comprising a copolymer obtainable by polymerizing a plurality of monomers, wherein the plurality of monomers comprise a (meth)acrylic acid ester, and the aqueous adhesive is applied to a paper tube. Also disclosed is a paper tube coated with the aqueous adhesive which is used for paper straws.
LIGHT-CURING REACTIVE ADHESIVE FILM
The present invention relates to a light-curing, reactive, pressure-sensitive adhesive film of adhesive. With the film of adhesive of the invention, structural bond strengths can be achieved. The film of adhesive comprises (a) at least one reactive monomer or reactive resin, (b) an initiator, (c) a photoredox catalyst, (d) a polymer of monomers comprising N-vinyl compounds and (e) a film-forming polymer.

A latex of an acid-modified conjugated diene polymer including the acid-modified conjugated diene polymer obtained by modifying a conjugated diene polymer with an acid group-containing compound, in which a content of a structural unit derived from the acid group-containing compound is 0.2 to 0.7 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the acid-modified conjugated diene polymer; a content of a water-soluble polymer in the latex is 2 parts by weight or less with respect to 100 parts by weight of the acid-modified conjugated diene polymer; when a solids content of the latex is adjusted to 60 wt %, a viscosity at 25° C. is 800 mPa.Math.s or less; and when the solids content of the latex is adjusted to 50 wt %, the viscosity at 25° C. is 300 mPa.Math.s or less.
POLYMER MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND POLYMER COMPATIBILIZING AGENT
Provided are a macromolecular material comprising two or more types of polymers, which are less likely to be separated, and having excellent mechanical properties, a method for producing the same, and a macromolecular compatibilizing agent. The macromolecular material according to the present invention comprises a first macromolecular compound having a ring host group, and a second macromolecular compound free of the host group, and the second macromolecular compound penetrates through the ring of the host group in a skewering manner. The method for producing the macromolecular material according to the present invention comprises polymerizing a polymerizable monomer in the presence of the first macromolecular compound. The macromolecular compatibilizing agent according to the present invention comprises a macromolecular compound having a ring host group.

GAP MATERIAL, ADHESIVE, AND DISPLAY DEVICE
There is provided an adhesive capable of improving the visibility and controlling gaps with high accuracy. The adhesive according to the present invention is an adhesive containing a curable component and a gap material, in which the 10% K value of the gap material is 10000 N/mm.sup.2 or less, and the absolute value of the difference between the refractive index of a cured product obtained by curing the curable component at 23° C. for 1 hour and the refractive index of the gap material is 0.1 or less.
AQUEOUS EMULSION AND ADHESIVE IN WHICH SAME IS USED
The present invention relates to an aqueous emulsion including an ethylenically unsaturated monomer unit-containing polymer as a dispersoid and a polyvinyl alcohol as a dispersant. The content of a free polyvinyl alcohol in the aqueous emulsion is 0.2 to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the ethylenically unsaturated monomer unit-containing polymer. The free polyvinyl alcohol has a degree of saponification of 80.0 to 99.5 mol % and a viscosity-average degree of polymerization of 200 to 5000, and the free polyvinyl alcohol has a symmetry factor (W.sub.0.05h/2f) that satisfies the following expression (1) as determined by gradient high-performance liquid chromatography for reversed-phase separation using a water-acetone eluent according to JIS K 0124 (2011).

Use of modified water-soluble polymers as crosslinking auxiliary agents
Modified water soluble polymer crosslinking agents can be used by themselves or in combination with conventional crosslinking agents, other crosslinkable base polymers, and/or hardeners. The dried composition is redispersible in water prior to crosslinking, but is stable to water after crosslinking, also offering improved stain resistance.
SYRUP POLYMER COMPOSITIONS AND ADHESIVES THEREFROM
Acrylic syrup polymer composition are provided by partially polymerizing a (meth)acrylic monomer mixture in the presence of a thiol chain transfer agent to produce a first syrup polymer composition comprising a low molecular weight solute (meth)acrylic copolymer and solvent monomers, quenching the chain transfer agent, further polymerizing the first syrup polymer composition to produce a second syrup polymer composition comprising the low molecular weight solute acrylic copolymer, a high molecular weight solute acrylic copolymer and optionally unreacted solvent monomers, optionally adding a crosslinker and photoinitiator; and further photopolymerizing the syrup polymer composition to produce a pressure-sensitive adhesive.

Crosslinked pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) based on polymers of branched macromolecules each comprising a main chain and one or more sidechains pendent to the main chain, the constitutional units thereof originating from a) X wt % of one or more acrylic and/or methacrylic esters, with 80<=X<=99.5; b) Y wt % of radically copolymerizable monomers having at least one acid function, with 0.5<=Y<=15; c) Z wt % of vinyl compounds, with 0<=Z<=5, at least one sidechain pendent to the main chain having a number-average molar mass >=1000 g/mol, and the respective amounts of constitutional units originating from a), b) and c) can be the same in each case or differ by not more than 1%, and where a), b) and c) may in each case be the same or different monomers, have detachment properties which can be set independently of one another.
