ADHESIVE TAPE
An adhesive tape can reduce percussive sounds or friction sounds, can prevent contamination of a covered article due to contamination by dirt or dust or intrusion by water or oil, has durability against puncture or friction, and easily bends after binding a covered article. The adhesive tape having a substrate including 100 parts by mass of a polyvinyl chloride and, with respect to the 100 parts by mass of the polyvinyl chloride, 10-100 parts by mass of an elastomer and 10-100 parts by mass of a plasticizer, wherein the elastomer includes an acrylonitrile monomer unit and at least one monomer unit selected from the group made of a chloroprene monomer unit, a butadiene monomer unit, and an isoprene monomer unit and the adhesive tape has an attenuation value of 2 dB or greater in an acoustic absorption test.
Stitch bonded foam tape product and method
An adhesive tape product incorporating foam that is stitch-bonded with a stitching yarn to provide substantial dimensional stability in the machine direction without sacrificing the sound dampening and insulation properties of the foam. A pressure sensitive adhesive is disposed in overlying relation to at least one face of the foam. One or more fibrous layers may be positioned between the foam and the adhesive.
ADHESIVE TAPE FOR JACKETING ELONGATE ITEMS SUCH AS MORE PARTICULARLY CABLE HARNESSES AND METHODS FOR JACKETING
An adhesive tape particularly for wrapping cables comprises a textile carrier and a pressure-sensitive adhesive applied on at least one side of the carrier, where starting materials used for the textile carrier comprise fibres of recycled polyethylene terephthalate, where the fraction of the fibres is at least 50 wt % and where the fibres are staple fibres or continuous filaments or are processed to form yarns.
SYSTEM FOR WRAPPING ELONGATED OBJECT
A support tape extends longitudinally along an elongated object, is wrapped around the object, and has a pair of opposite longitudinal edges, an inner face engaging the object, and an outer face turned outward away from the object. The support tape is of single-layer design and having a class D abrasion resistance according to LV 312-1. One closure strip of an adhesive compound extends along one of the faces at one of the edges, and another closure strip of an adhesive compound extends parallel to the edges, along the other face, and transversely offset on the other face from the one closure strip. It is adhered to the one closure strip. A fixing strip of an adhesive compound extends longitudinally on the inner face, offset thereon from the one and other closure strips, and adheres the tape to the object.
Method and apparatus for making adhesive tape
The subject matter of the present invention is a method and a device for producing an adhesive tape (1). First a material web (2) comprising a carrier tape material is supplied from an unwinding unit (3). The supplied material web (2) is subsequently provided on at least one surface with at least one adhesive strip (4) in a coating unit (6). The material web (2) provided with the adhesive strip (4) is then cut into at least two longitudinal strips with the aid of a cutting device (10) and made up into individual adhesive tapes (1). According to the invention, a sensor (8, 9) scanning the material web is used to align the material web (2) and/or the cutting device (10) in the transverse direction (Q) in such a way that a longitudinal cut (S) respectively produced with the aid of the cutting device (10) is introduced in an exact position into the material web (2).
ADHESIVE TAPE
An adhesive tape comprising a porous substrate having a basis weight of 60-150 g/m.sup.2, a thickness of 200 μm or more, and a void ratio of 35 vol % or more, a resin layer provided to at least one surface of the porous substrate, and an adhesive layer provided on the resin layer, wherein the resin layer is formed from a resin composition (I) including a tackifier resin.
ADHESIVE TAPE FOR WRAPPING CABLES
The invention relates to an adhesive tape, in particular wrapping tape, for sheathing automotive cables, having a textile support and at least one adhesive coating layer applied to one side or both sides of the textile support, and the textile support being manufactured entirely or partially from bio-based polymer fibers and/or polymer yarns, characterized in that the textile support is constituted of multi-weft yarns and/or multi-warp yarns.
ADHESIVE TAPE FOR WRAPPING CABLES
The invention relates to an adhesive tape, in particular wrapping tape, for sheathing automotive cables, having a mostly textile support and at least one adhesive coating layer applied to one side or both sides of the textile support, and the textile support being manufactured entirely or partially from bio-based polymer fibers and/or polymer yarns, characterized in that the textile support is a velours support or includes such a velours support.
BINDING TAPE
A binding tape exhibits high sound absorbing performance and suppressed breaking of the tape during the binding work. The binding tape includes a substrate layer of a nonwoven fabric and an adhesive layer that contains an adhesive and that is provided on at least either surface of the substrate layer, where: the nonwoven fabric is formed from fibers at least partially containing a thermoplastic elastomer; and the nonwoven fabric has a tensile breaking strength in the tape longitudinal direction (A1) of 20 N/10 mm or more.
Moisture-curable adhesive tape and method for jacketing elongated items, especially leads
The present invention relates to an adhesive tape and to a method for jacketing an elongated item, more particularly cable sets. The adhesive tape must cure within the operational dictates for further processing, e.g. within 6 min, and after curing must exhibit the required dimensional stability properties. However, the adhesive compositions must not cure during storage itself, since otherwise they can no longer be used. Nor may the curing temperatures be too high, since otherwise the lead insulation, which is often made of PVC, may suffer damage. The invention proposes a method for jacketing an elongated item such as more particularly leads or cable sets, where a tape which comprises a moisture-curing binder on a carrier is first impregnated with water and immediately thereafter is guided in a helical line around the elongated item or the elongated item is wrapped in an axial direction by the adhesive tape, the elongated item together with the adhesive tape wrapping is brought into the desired disposition, more particularly into the cable set plan, the elongated item is held in this disposition, while the curable adhesive cures. Alternatively proposed is a method for jacketing an elongated item such as more particularly leads or cable sets, where a tape which comprises a moisture-curing binder on a carrier is guided in a helical line around the elongated item or the elongated item is wrapped in an axial direction by the adhesive tape, the elongated item together with the adhesive tape wrapping is brought into the desired disposition, more particularly into the cable set plan, the elongated item is held in this disposition, and the curable adhesive is brought to cure by the supply of moisture.
