ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE MASKING TAPE
Electrically conductive masking tapes include an electrically conductive backing and an electrically conductive pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The pressure sensitive adhesive contains an acrylate-based copolymeric matrix, a crosslinker, an electrically conductive filler, and at least one antioxidant. The acrylate-based copolymeric matrix is the reaction product of a polymerizable mixture including at least one first alkyl(meth)acrylate monomer with a homopolymer Tg of less than −50° C., and at least one hydroxyl-functional alkyl(meth)acrylate with a homopolymer Tg of less than −10° C. The electrically conductive tape is capable of being laminated to and cleanly removed from a substrate surface, after being subjected to harsh conditions such as plasma vapor deposition conditions.
TAPE TO MASK A STRUCTURE
Tape and method to mask a structure. The tape includes a base layer having length, width, outside surface, inside surface, and top edge spaced from bottom edge. A first portion of the width of the inside surface includes a first tacky adhesive layer connected to the inside surface and located adjacent the top edge. A second portion of the width of the inside surface includes a second tacky adhesive layer connected to the inside surface and located adjacent the bottom edge. At least a portion of the base layer includes a water impermeable area that prevents water adjacent the outside surface from reaching the inside surface by passing through the base layer. And, a third portion of the width of the inside surface of the base layer includes a non-tacky area located between the first tacky adhesive layer and the second tacky adhesive layer.
FLEXIBLE TAPE WITH EMBEDDED CUTTING FILAMENT
The present invention provides a filament-bearing tape. The filament-bearing tape extends longitudinally and comprises a flexible substrate having a first edge and a second edge parallel to the first edge, and having top and bottom surfaces. The tape also has a filament that is encompassed in the top surface of the substrate, parallel to the edges of the substrate.
TEMPORARY MASKING FILM DRAPE WITH REVERSE ADHESIVE
A temporary surface masking film is provided with an adhesive tape that faces outwardly, thereby dramatically improving the process of application. At least the film may be transparent or translucent and the film may be accordion-folded onto the roll. The width of the film may be in the range of 1 to 12 feet. The roll may be retained in a plastic carrier, with a serrated edge for cutting the film. The roll may be coupled to an axial handle, and the roll and handle are provided in a plastic carrier. A method includes adhering a portion of the outwardly facing adhesive tape to a surface to be protected. The film is then unrolled such that it unfolds, hangs down and clings to the surface. The film may then be cut when the surface to be protected is sufficiently covered. Conveniently, the inventive film may be applied by a single user.
System, apparatus, and method for unwinding a roll
An assembly is disclosed. The assembly has an adhesive layer, a protective film layer that is fused to a first side of the adhesive layer along a first length, and a cover layer that is fused to a second side of the adhesive layer along a second length. The first length is longer than the second length. The adhesive layer is wound in a roll. The second side of the adhesive layer faces outwardly from a center of the roll.
FILM STACK, KIT COMPOSED OF FILM STACK AND ADHESIVE TAPE, AND A COVERING TAPE AND A METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
Masking film stacks, kits composed of said film stacks, adhesive tapes, and covering tapes, and methods for producing said stacks and kits are provided. The masking film stacks comprise masking films having widths and lengths, wherein the masking films are foldable along folding lines, running along the lengths, to form double-ply-folded masking films such that two free longitudinal edges of the double-ply-folded masking films run adjacent to each another and the double-ply masking films are foldable to form stacks and the two longitudinal edges lie on the masking film stacks.
Biodegradable cellulose fiber-based substrate, its manufacturing process, and use in an adhesive tape
A biodegradable cellulose fiber-based substrate, at least one side of which is coated with a release coating including: a) at least one water-soluble polymer (WSP) containing hydroxyl groups, and b) at least one lactone substituted with at least one linear or branched and/or cyclic C.sub.8-C.sub.30 hydrocarbon chain which may contain heteroatoms. The biodegradable substrate is certified biodegradable in accordance with EN 13432. A method of production thereof is also disclosed.
AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF A SILICONE PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE BASE AND METHODS FOR PREPARATION AND USE OF THE DISPERSION
An aqueous dispersion of a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive base can be combined with a curing agent and cured to form a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive.
Adhesive composition and masking article for producing precise paint lines
An adhesive article for masking a portion of a substrate surface from a liquid coating applied to the surface includes a support having first and second opposed major surfaces, and a cationic or zwitterionic adhesive composition disposed on at least a portion of at least one of the first and second opposed major surfaces. The adhesive composition provides a barrier that impedes the migration of the coating past the edge of the adhesive article.
CELLULOSIC FIBER-BASED SUBSTRATE, METHOD OF PRODUCTION AND USE AS A SUBSTRATE FOR ADHESIVE TAPES
A cellulosic fiber-based adhesive tape substrate, at least one side of which is coated with an aqueous mixture of: a) at least one organic polymer having pendant groups with at least one vinyl function; b) at least one polysiloxane comprising at least one hydrogenosiloxane monomer —(O—SiR.sup.1H)—, wherein R.sup.1 is a linear or branched and/or cyclic hydrocarbon chain which may contain heteroatoms; c) at least one hydrosilylation catalyst.
