COEXTRUDED POLYMERIC ADHESIVE ARTICLE
An adhesive article including: a coextruded polymeric backing that includes: a first layer including an amorphous polyamide, the first layer having first and second opposing major surfaces; and a second layer including a polar-modified polyolefin, the second layer having first and second opposing major surfaces; wherein the first major surface of the second layer is in contact with the second major surface of the first layer; and an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive layer in contact with the first major surface of the first layer of the backing.
Hot-Melt, Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive With A Wide Range Of Application-Temperature
The present invention relates to hot-melt, pressure-sensitive adhesives (HM-PSA); self-adhering, vapor-permeable air-barriers comprising such HM-PSA; and the process of adhering such air-barriers on to construction material substrates in a primer-less fashion to control the vapor movement of water vapor and air.
Nanoclay filled barrier adhesive compositions
A barrier adhesive composition comprising a resin system and organically modified nanoclay. The resin system comprises (a) a first polyisobutylene resin having a viscosity average molecular weight of about 300,000 to about 500,000 g/mol, (b) a second polyisobutylene resin having a viscosity average molecular of about 700,000 to about 900,000 g/mol and (c) tackifier.
BARRIER ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS AND ARTICLES
Barrier adhesive compositions include at least one polyisobutylene-containing polymer and a copolymeric additive that is a polyisobutylene-polysiloxane copolymer. The polyisobutylene-polysiloxane copolymers are prepared by the reaction of a hydridosilane-functional polysiloxane and an ethylenically unsaturated polyisobutylene oligomer. Barrier film articles include the barrier adhesive compositions and a film. The barrier film articles can be used to encapsulate organic electronic devices.
ADHESIVE SHEET
A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet may include a base material and a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive layer which contains a softener, and further include a barrier layer disposed between the base material and the hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive layer, the barrier layer containing at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyester-based resin, a polyurethane-based resin, and a polyolefin-based resin. The polyester-based resin may be at least one of a polyester resin or a modified polyester resin.
Multi-layered film and the use thereof
The present invention relates to a multi-layered film for the application to a metal or plastic surface, comprising a protective layer (A) as a first layer, which is a poly(alkyl methacrylate) film comprising at least one hindered amine light stabilizer and at least two different ortho-hydroxy tris-aryl triazine UV absorbers selected from compounds of formulae (7) and (8); a barrier layer (B), a base layer (C), an adhesive layer (D) as last layer, and wherein barrier layer (B) and/or base layer (C) comprise at least one pigment. The multi-layered films are especially suitable for the application to the surface of automobiles.
SELF-ADHERING ROOFING UNDERLAYMENT
A self-adhering underlayment includes an activator layer on the surface side that is configured to activate and bond with the adhesive when configured in contact with the adhesive layer, such as when overlapped on a roof. The activator layer may be a strip configured proximal an edge of the self-adhering underlayment, such that a second self-adhering underlayment will overlay and contact this activator layer strip when installed on a roof. The activator layer may be configured to chemically react with the adhesive layer to enable adhesion between the layers. The activator layer may comprise a chemical that chemically bonds with the adhesive layer. The activator layer may not be a tacky adhesive and therefor a release liner for the activator layer may not be required.
