Provided is a pressure sensitive adhesive article comprising (a) a substrate (Sa) (b) in contact with the substrate (Sa), a layer (Lb) of a pressure sensitive composition (Cb) that comprises one or more acrylic polymer (POLb) having Tg of 20° C. or lower, and (c) in contact with the layer (Lb), a layer (Lc) that comprises, (i) one or more acrylic polymer (POLc1) having Tg of 20° C. or lower, and (ii) one or more acrylic tackifier polymer having Tg of −10° C. or higher. Also provided are a method of making the pressure sensitive adhesive article and a bonded article made by using the pressure sensitive adhesive article.
Cycloolefin polymer bonding method
A cycloolefin polymer (COP) bonding method wherein a first material that is COP and a second material that is COP or glass are bonded. The method includes: a step of exposing at least a bonding surface of the first material to H.sub.2O plasma; and a step of mating the bonding surface of the first material and a bonding surface of the second material. According to the method, the cycloolefin polymer (COP) can be bonded to a target material without applying high pressure or high temperature, and without affecting the optical properties.
LAMINATION FILM AND ADHESIVE THEREFOR
A film structure including: (a) at least one functionalized film layer, wherein the at least one film layer comprises a polar-reactive group polyolefin layer used as an internal layer in the film structure; and (b) a lamination adhesive composition present on, and in contact with, a least a portion of a surface of the internal layer; wherein the green tack value of the adhesive composition is greater than 0.772 Newtons/centimeter; a laminate including the above film structure bonded to a substrate layer; a process for producing the film structure; a process for producing the laminate; and a laminated article made from the above laminate.
HOT MELT COMPOSITION
An objective of the present invention is to provide a hot melt composition which (i) is excellent in adhesion and heat resistance, and (ii) is not transferred to a surface of a substrate when the substrates pre-coated with the hot melt composition are stacked and stored. The present invention relates to a hot melt composition comprising: (A) an amorphous poly-α-olefin, (B) a crystalline propylene-based polymer, and (C) a tackifier resin, wherein the amorphous poly-α-olefin (A) comprises (A1) an amorphous poly-α-olefin having a softening point of 150° C. or more.
VERY HIGH SOLIDS, THERMOSET COMPOSITION WITH ONE-SIDE (WET SET) ADHESION TO UNPRIMED/UNMODIFIED TPO SURFACES
Adhesive compositions are described that are suitable for securing building materials, such as TPO membrane roofing to a structural element, such as a roof deck. The adhesive compositions are very high-solids, wet-set adhesives that provide a peel strength that meets or exceeds industry standards, while requiring application to only one of two surfaces to be joined. The adhesive compositions comprise a liquid modifier with hydroxyl functionality, a chlorinated polyolefin and a silylated polymer. Methods of use are also disclosed.
TPO PRIMER
