REINFORCED LABEL ASSEMBLY
A label assembly includes a label print layer with enhanced tensile, tear, and/or stiffness properties. The enhanced property or properties may be achieved by including a reinforcement layer, including a reinforcement material in the adhesive layer, and/or modifying the facestock layer.
ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE ACRYLIC PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE TAPES COMPRISING MOISTURE BARRIER LAYER
The present disclosure relates to an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive tape including a moisture barrier layer in a release layer, and to an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive tape, which can enhance adhesion by the moisture barrier layer preventing reduction of adhesion of an acrylic adhesive layer caused by moisture.
BARRIER ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS AND ARTICLES
Barrier adhesive compositions include at least one polyisobutylene-containing polymer and a copolymeric additive that is a polyisobutylene-polysiloxane copolymer. The polyisobutylene-polysiloxane copolymers are prepared by the reaction of a hydridosilane-functional polysiloxane and an ethylenically unsaturated polyisobutylene oligomer. Barrier film articles include the barrier adhesive compositions and a film. The barrier film articles can be used to encapsulate organic electronic devices.
Water-activated linerless adhesive articles and related methods
Water-activatable, linerless adhesive articles and related methods are described. The adhesive articles utilize a dry, non-tacky protective layer for protecting the adhesive layer from contamination and therefore do not require a release liner. The protective layer includes at least one of amorphous polyvinyl alcohol and poly(ethylene oxide). The adhesive articles are bonded to a substrate by applying a polar solvent, such as water, to the protective layer, which mix to form a tacky material. The tacky material forms a weak, temporary bond with the substrate and allows the adhesive articles to be repositioned on the substrate. The tacky material gradually pools together at the substrate/adhesive article interface to expose the underlying adhesive layer. The exposed adhesive layer then forms a permanent bond with the substrate.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS
An adhesive composition comprises a copolymer dispersion prepared by a free radical emulsion polymerization process, in which a first monomer composition comprising from 60 weight percent to 95 weight percent of at least one vinyl ester of a C.sub.1 to C.sub.18 carboxylic acid, and from 5 weight percent to 40 weight percent ethylene is polymerized in a first stage to produce a first polymer phase having a glass transition temperature T.sub.g less or equal than 30 C. A second, different monomer composition comprising from 5 weight percent to 95 weight percent of at least one vinyl ester of a C.sub.1 to C.sub.18 carboxylic acid and from 5 weight percent to 95 weight percent 2-ethylhexyl acrylate is then polymerized in a second stage, and in the presence of the first polymer phase, to produce a second polymer phase also having a glass transition temperature T.sub.g less than or equal to 30 C.
SUPPORT FILM FOR TAPE MATERIAL, TAPE MATERIAL, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUPPORT FILM FOR TAPE MATERIAL
A support film for a tape material is provided that includes a film-shaped support formed of polyurethane, a barrier layer containing an aromatic isocyanate-based polyurethane and a layered inorganic compound and formed on one surface of the support, and an overcoat layer containing a polyvinyl alcohol or an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and an organometallic chelating agent.
BARRIER COATING FOR ADHESIVE LABELS
A barrier coating is used in combination with a UV-cured adhesive on paperstock to prolong the tack and overall performance of the adhesive. Some aspects of the coating incorporate a chelating material to arrest or completely prevent the migration of unwanted ions, possibly including calcium ions, from moving between the paperstock and the adhesive in a manner that negatively impacts the adhesive. The resulting stock is particularly well-suited to labels and other similar uses.
ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE ACRYLIC PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE TAPES COMPRISING MOISTURE BARRIER LAYER
A pressure sensitive adhesive tape includes a substrate layer including metal, an adhesive layer stacked on one surface of the substrate layer and including an acrylic adhesive polymer resin and a conductive filler including metal, and a release layer stacked on one surface of the adhesive layer. The release layer includes a moisture barrier layer that includes a substrate film having one surface release-treated and a barrier coating layer.
