The present invention is a sealing material composition comprising a moisture absorbent, and a sealing resin having a weight average molecular weight of 50,000 to 1,000,000, the moisture absorbent comprising a compound that comprises a repeating unit represented by a formula (1), and

The sealing material composition according to the present invention makes it possible to easily produce a sealing sheet that exhibits excellent transparency, an excellent water vapor barrier capability, and high adhesion, and the sealing sheet according to the present invention exhibits excellent transparency, an excellent water vapor barrier capability, and high adhesion, and may suitably be used to seal an organic EL device and the like, and the electronic device member and the electronic device according to the present invention rarely deteriorate, and exhibit excellent long-term reliability.

A manufacturing apparatus is an apparatus for manufacturing a water absorption treatment material that is composed of a plurality of grains, and includes a granulation machine and a coating machine. The granulation machine granulates a granulation material and thereby forms a granule (core portion) that constitutes each of the grains The coating machine attaches a coating material that contains an adhesive material to a surface of the core portion formed by the granulation machine, and thereby forms a coating portion that covers the surface of the core portion. Various embodiments disclosed relate to polysulfide or polythioether sealant composition including glycol organic acid esters. The sealant composition can include a first component including a liquid that is a polysulfide, a polythioether, a copolymer thereof, or a combination thereof. The sealant composition can also include a second component that includes one or more glycol di((C.sub.1-C.sub.20)hydrocarbyl)carboxylate esters, wherein at each occurrence the (C.sub.1-C.sub.20)hydrocarbyl is independently substituted or unsubstituted. The second component can also include an oxidizing agent.

The invention includes hot melt sealants having a low thermal conductivity in which the polymer component is maximized, and specialized fillers are not needed. The inventive sealants have found utility as thermoplastic spacers, edge seals and single seals.

A seal groove is cut in the distal end face of a wrap of a fixed scroll, with a tip seal being fitted in the seal groove. Swelling members are interposed between both side faces of the tip seal and corresponding opposite side faces of the wrap. Condensed liquid of working medium w and water condensed from steam contained in the working medium w that are present between the tip seal and an end plate provide a sealing effect. When the swelling members swell upon absorbing the condensed liquids, they exert a strong pressing force on the tip seal and the wrap, thereby firmly retaining the tip seal in position. This prevents the tip seal from being pressed against the end plate, so that wear of the tip seal is reduced.
