A fluorine-containing elastomer composition comprising 0.4 to 4.0 parts by weight of a pigment that is a perylene-based compound, a naphthalenecarboxamide-based compound, a pyrimidinetrione-based compound, or a benzimidazolone-based compound, and 0.2 to 5.0 parts by weight of a bisamidoxime compound or 2,2-bis(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl)hexafluoropropane, based on 100 parts by weight of a fluorine-containing elastomer having a copolymer composition of (A) 60.0 to 80.0 mol % of tetrafluoroethylene, (B) 19.8 to 39.8 mol % of perfluoro(lower alkyl vinyl ether) or perfluoro(lower alkoxy lower alkyl vinyl ether), and (C) 0.2 to 5.0 mol % of a perfluoro unsaturated nitrile compound.

In an aspect, the disclosure relates to a composition comprising an elastomeric substance and at least one corrosion inhibitor, preferably the at least one corrosion inhibitor is a corrosion inhibitor blend. The disclosure also relates to an elastomeric material, such as a gasket, comprising a corrosion inhibitor blend having at least one corrosion inhibitor, and an elastomeric substance. Preferably the elastomeric material prevents corrosion of a metal surface to which it makes contact. The disclosure also relates to methods of making the elastomeric material, as well as methods of preventing corrosion comprising placing the elastomeric material in contact with a metal surface, or between two or more metal surfaces or joints.
SEALANTS FOR HIGH PRESSURE HYDROGEN GAS STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Embodiments provide rubber sealants and rubber sealant formulations for use in high pressure hydrogen storage and transportation. Example sealant formulations include mixtures of ethylene propylene diene monomers (EPDMs) or EPDM-like materials, optional thermally conductive fillers, optional hydrogen barrier fillers, reinforcing fillers, liquid rubbers, antioxidants, optional abrasion resistance additives, and curing agents (e.g., cross-linking agents). Example formulations are capable of peroxide curing to produce thermosetting elastomers with excellent thermomechanical properties. Example sealants provide very low equilibrium hydrogen concentrations and reduced swelling.
