A multi-stage process for the production of an ISO 8217 compliant Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil from ISO 8217 compliant Feedstock Heavy Marine Fuel Oil involving a Reaction System composed of one or more reactor vessels selected from a group reactor wherein said one or more reactor vessels contains one or more reaction sections configured to promote the transformation of the Feedstock Heavy Marine Fuel Oil to the Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil. The Product Heavy Marine Fuel Oil has a Environmental Contaminate level has a maximum sulfur content (ISO 14596 or ISO 8754) between the range of 0.05 mass % to 1.0 mass. A process plant for conducting the process for conducting the process is disclosed that can utilize a modular reactor vessel.
HYDROCONVERTED COMPOSITIONS
An hydroconverted effluent composition is provided, along with systems and methods for making such a composition. The hydroconverted effluent composition can have an unexpectedly high percentage of vacuum gas oil boiling range components while having a reduce or minimized amount of components boiling above 593° C. (1100° F.). In some aspects, based in part on the hydroprocessing used to form the hydroconverted effluent composition, the composition can include unexpectedly high contents of nitrogen. METHOD OF PREPARING STABILIZED FUEL OIL AND THE SAME PRODUCED THEREFROM
The present invention relates to a process for preparing an asphaltene-stabilized fuel oil comprising (i) mixing an asphaltene-containing oil fraction(s) and a high-saturated hydrocarbon oil fraction(s) to obtain a mixture of oil fractions; and (ii) filtering the obtained mixture through a filtering medium, and the asphaltene-stabilized fuel oil obtained therefrom.
High performance process oil based on distilled aromatic extracts
Naphthenic process oils are made by blending one or more naphthenic vacuum gas oils in one or more viscosity ranges with a high C.sub.A content distilled aromatic extract feedstock to provide at least one blended oil, and hydrotreating the at least one blended oil to provide an enhanced C.sub.A content naphthenic process oil. The invention concerns a process for converting a hydrocarbon feed, said process comprising the following steps: a) a step of hydrocracking the feed in the presence of hydrogen; b) a step of separating the effluent obtained from step a); c) a step of precipitating sediments, in which the heavy fraction obtained from the separation step b) is brought into contact with a distillate cut at least 20% by weight of which has a boiling point of 100° C. or more for a period of less than 500 minutes, at a temperature in the range 25° C. to 350° C., and at a pressure of less than 20 MPa; d) a step of physical separation of the sediments from the heavy fraction obtained from step c); e) a step of recovering a heavy fraction having a sediment content, measured using the ISO 10307-2 method, of 0.1% by weight or less.

The present invention relates to debottleneck solution for delayed Coker unit. More particularly, this invention relates to bottoms of vacuum residuum routed to Coker unit through de-asphalting unit to avoid revamp of existing Coker for the processing of heavier feed stock when there is a change in crude slate. Another object of the invention, in particular, relates to improved delayed coking products, a process used in petroleum refineries to crack petroleum residue, thus converting it into gaseous and liquid product streams and leaving behind solid, carbonaceous petroleum coke.

Integrated desolidification for solid-containing residues
A desolidification process enables the isolation and extraction of solid additives from an unreacted petroleum residue stream. In a hydrocracking process that mixes a solid additive with a petroleum residue feedstock to convert the petroleum residue to higher-value distillates, the desolidification process enables the recovery of the unreacted petroleum residue for conversion to a saleable product. The desolidification process involves the mixture of one or more solvents with a slurry in which solids are integrated in the petroleum residue to generate a mixture having a decreased density and viscosity as compared to the slurry, which facilitates removal of the solids.
Environment-friendly marine fuel
For the shipping industry, these fuels provide solutions to long outstanding technical problems that heretofore hindered supply of low sulfur marine fuels in quantities needed to meet worldwide sulfur reduction goals. When ships on the open seas burn cheap low grade heavy bunker oils high in sulfur, nitrogen and metals, the SOx, NOx, and metal oxides go to the environment. This invention converts essentially all of each barrel of crude feed to a single ultraclean fuel versus conventional refining where crude feed is cut into many pieces, and each piece is sent down a separate market path meeting various different product specifications. When in port, ships can generate and sell electricity to land based electrical grids to offset fuel cost in an environment-friendly manner.
